not until i try to rank my local site, i did not know it's not so easy. so i imagine small local businesses should be a lot of opportunities. my accupucturist just moved to my area and he got someone to do online marketing for him and evidently he got quite some business as a result. however he was complaining that the service he used was too expensive. i imagine i should start with google 3rd page or 5th page or something like that because that means they believe in IM but have not been very successful. that also can mean that they are currently working with somebody. i see a lot of people spamming local biz sites/youtubes with blog comments which according to what i've read on bhw looks like noobs? another way i can think of is the start from yellow pages. either way i have to convince the owner to use my service... which i am definitely not good at. i see a lot of bhw members seem pretty successful. can you give me some tips on how you start? do you call them and ask to speak with the owner? how do you start when you get in touch with the owner? how do you convince them? (i suppose if i can rank my site quickly first, i have something to show, but i havent gotten anywhere yet after 1.5 months. is that a must? i have bought citations, setup fb, google my biz/g+, press release, starting to build 2nd tier links.) also, how much do you charge?
