Subdomain vs subdirectory

    Subdomain or subdirectory? which will rank better in google if the site is brand new? I want to make like 100 auto blogs but it's expensive to buy 100 domains but cheaper to just buy 1domain and make many subdomains or subdirectories.

    I think the answer to that question really depends on what you're trying to do with them. If you are getting a lot of social signals and user activity around your subdomains, they should get ranking juice I would think. Why don't you do an experiment and take a look at other website and see if any subdomains are ranking. If you see some that are, this then answers your question. Also, I can see below that there are numerous threads that have already been opened on this topic. You might want to check those as well.

    I agree with InTh3Moment, and subdomain/subdirectory keywords must be take into consideration too, if you are doing xxx, but your content is yyy, it will also affect your ranking.
