say i have domain .. i-want.com how would i rank in google if lets say i had: i-want.pizza.com and a competitor had: iwantpizza.com or i-wantpizza.com do subdomains count a a domain or not?
I'm sorry to be bumping this so late, but I had to answer. If your domain is i-want.com, you can't have i-want.pizza.com, you must have pizza.i-want.com (or this, or I'm huggely mistaken) If you have i-want.com/pizza, any backlinks will count towards the main site, while in a subdomain, it doesn't. Does this clear things up?
In general, goog treats subdomains as unique sites. Obviously, if you spin up a bunch of mirrors on several subdomains off the SLD, they'll figure it out, but in general they treat each sub as its own gig.
During tax season I made a bunch of tax related subdomains and some of them had great traffic. But here's one piece of advice I can give. Don't be short sighted. If you think one of the domains could possibly be a nice site you want to sell one day pay the $7.49 (look up coupons) and make it a real site.
Hey guys, anyone has access to viphackers . org Can any of you help me in this ?? Thx !!! listentome !!
Agreed. Keyword rich domain names are a great investment and every bit of effort you put into your sites pays off in the long run. Good luck.
