Hi, I have a site which is not WP and I want to add a blog to my site.
I've read that for SEO is better to use a subdirectory in the same domain, in my case this is the most expensive option since the site is built using a proprietary CMs hosted overseas (long story), anyway, is there a way? to mimic a subdirectory? to use redirecting with masking? or something like that and solve this?

    thanks

subdirectory -> more links to the main domain

if you create the /blog/ directory it will probably override the CMS settings
