Stupid Paypal slapped my account with a limited account access

WTF, just opened a new account a couple of days back, didn't use until today when i tried a new method, i managed to make $80.00.
A couple of minutes later when i try to use the money to buy some IM tools, paypal slaps a ban.

Here are a few problems
1. i opened a new account using the Canadian PayPal since i read somewhere that they don't limit the accounts.
2. i used faked names and address,
3.i don't live in canada

>bottom line is- i think its safe to say i should just kiss my money bye bye, unless of course if someone has a better idea and i can give $20.00 for helping me sort this mess

ditch the money and make a account with genuine name and surname. also link you cc to your account and verify it that should prevent this from happening

I think it's pretty safe to say that your money is gone.

Giving fake information, and the fact that you don't live in Canada is a definite no no.

Paypal will check your ip location once you show initiative that transactions are going to be passing through your account. If you'd have used a canadian IP you would not have this problem but like the other posters have said here, that money is gone sorry!

but the sender can claim the money back right?

At first, all countries accounts getting limited, just Canada is one of the countries where you can be safer than UK or USA.

Second.. If you provided fake details but correct address ( In maps correct, not important to have access to it ) and if these $80.00 were made within legal method, no fraud, no scam then I am sure that there is a chance to reinstate your account. Oh yeah, If you haven't used any premum sockses for your canada account then you will need to add VCC AVS.

Anyway.. In my opinion you received a basic limitation.. That means PayPal is asking you to upload some documentations right and change security Q/A..

Or if your account received AV limitation then you only need to confirm your location, change password and Q/A.

if you are doing genuine transactions then there should be no problem ,even if your account gets limited.Drop a email to paypal with proof of transactions you have done.You will be rolled to normal ones.
