A venting thread cos I am FUCKING SICK of seeing this message

If your .htaccess file were writable, we could do this automatically, but it isn?t so these are the mod_rewrite rules you should have in your .htaccess file. Click in the field and press CTRL + a to select all.

HOURS I've spent trying to make this little bitch of a file, following tutorials listening to jibberjabber that made no sense to me arghhhh! *screams in a pillow*

ALL I WANT IS A PRETTY PERMALINK. FUCK ME.

Here is a little tip, change everything to 777 and when you have done what you want to do, change it back to what it was.

Suggestion - rename to htaccess.txt and then CHMOD to 777, then rename back again to .htaccess. Some server companies (mainly the small/freeby ones) seem to put odd rules on handling and viewing .filename files. Don't know why.
