    All right guys, I just did a fresh installation for a wordpress blog and downloaded the database to check the data, and guess what I found? Someone stuff a cloak backlink into my wordpress blog!

    Code:
    # Data contents of table `wp_links`
    #

    INSERT INTO `wp_links` VALUES (8, 'http://wordpresssupplies.com/', 'Wordpress Themes', '', '', 'Download Free Wordpress Themes and Plugins', 'Y', 2, 0, '0000-00-00 00:00:00', '', '', '');
    I had not uploaded any themes into the wp blog, so it should not be the themes, regarding the plugin, I'm sure I did not use any of theirs. Is it a hack or something else?

    What's your take on this?

    pretty common. That's the reason a lot of people even release plugins and themes. It's an easy way to get tons of good quality backlinks if the theme is good enough. I ip cloak my links, so the users would never even know they were on their blog.
