    Hi guys ,
so the title pretty much sums it up , about 3 weeks ago i launched a website about a 2400 searches low comp keyword , and i've been ranking 3rd for it for about 10 days , i'm dancing between 3rd and 4th , i didn't use any automated links so far , all manual , some social signals , web2.0s .. any ideas on how to get the 1st spot ?
in the past i was using russian links with high pr but my last experiment with those got me penalized so i'm afraid to use them again ..
    Thanks :D

i know on Google kw tool means low advetisers comp , it's low comp because the first couple of websites are new / have low backlinks
the keyword is pretty new so i think i can outrank them , but i want the ranking to stick :D

Nobody knows 100% for sure. At best, you'll get someone experienced to share their observational data from their own network. At worst, you get some fool repeating what they read on a forum 5 months ago. So be careful :)

If you want my opinion, I'd need to know more about your backlinks etc. Everything matters in my opinion: the age of your domain, the rate at which you built your links, the anchor text variety and the order that you built them, from what sources, PA and PR of the pages containing backlinks, user engagement metrics (time on site, bounce rate), and so on and so on...

If the sites out-ranking you don't appear to have better links than you, maybe they just have some sticking power right now because they were first to the top. Focus on out-doing them with high quality ranking signals.

hey man , as i said the domain name is fresh , only one month old , i also believe that with a little time i should be outranking them , i'm gonna make some more web2.0s and see how it goes since i don't wanna take risks with any sape related kind of links

You should do OnPage SEO, change outbound links to NoFollow, buy social signals (facebook likes, tweets, G+1), buy or make web 2.0's, do guest posting, buy some press releases. Check this thread: SEO Tips, Tricks

So much fail in this thread.

    #3 is solid. Don't F it up.
    A) Don't add more links. Backlink your existing links
    B) Add social mentions and CITATIONS.
    C) Add image subpages on your site with your kw and link back to your homepage.

    Thank me later (or sooner)

Lol okay. It's a low comp kw, if his links got him to #3, I don't think there's much else he needs to do.
