    hello fellaz,
i'm stuck between those two things: right now i'm studying but on the other hand i'm doing marketing, and creating innovative web swtuff (in the making) to go big! i'm pretty confident in my abilities regarding creativity and creating new good stuff for the internet to get really rich, but on the other hand i'm fearing to fail at uni .

i'm not the best multi tasker in the world, if i want good grades i have to invest much more time in university and vice versa: if i want to get rich as soon as possible i have to be kinda like a full time marketer / nerd :p

anybody of you being stuck in between of those two? i'm trying to get both done but my focus is more on the marketing stuff...am trying to find a way to be more balanced or to choose on of those things ..dunno..

I used to be... Once I started earning more then the teachers I decided it was time to drop. I figure I can always go back one day if I need to.

I'm in the same spot as you man! I have the funds to keep going, but I don't think I'm coming back... Follow your dreams man, plenty of people have become successful without a college degree.

yeah i won't end up giving up university coz i'm the kinda person who needs to have a plan b to work without stress and pressure ;) on the other hand it takes a bit time and i have the feeling that the things u learn won't help u (in my case for instance..) and more over there are some courses where you learn and learn and still get an average mark coz thats the way it is and that sucks even more..

i don't want to finish university as an average student but i have to put more time into it and therefore do less marketing...its a very complicated situation TO ME ;) i think i will just do my university but focus more on marketing...and whenever i have important exams i study and invest more time for university (which brings me to antoher point that i have to study quite early for exams => more time wasting for it lolz) damned..

i think i just have to give my best in both directions and focus on one or the other area of my life depending on whats more important to be done time wise ...if this makes any sense to you guys :D

Do both. Simple as that. That's what I do.

School is like work. IM is like a hobby/fun

+1 this let's you finish a degree with less stress and good marks, and still work on IM. It also gives your IM ventures time to mature enough for you to make a decision if it's a sustainable long term career for you.

Drop out of uni and give marketing a shot. If you think there's a chance you can make it big then GO FOR IT. You are only young once and you have nothing to lose. You can always return to uni at a later date.

Don't ever think of dropping from the University. I am sure you will do well in IM but your degree will help you forever. You will always feel confident with a college degree. We can never predict the future. So complete your college and focus on IM :)

Finish the degree. There's no reason why you can't do small amounts of IM on the side.

US university is useless, don't bother with it, it doesn't make you smarter, if anything, it'll dumb you down.

I would finnish the degree, and do IM whenever you can as long as it don't interfere. Then when you are done with school, you can do IM full time, and if it don't work out, you will always have a degree to fall back on. And on the other hand, if for some reason school don't work out, you still have IM to fall back on. Its a win win for sure. Just finish school. And good luck :D

Im in the exact same boat, I've had people offer me business oppurtunities like startups and willing to pay my wages, but i've turned them all down. What im currently doing is building my portfolio and aiming to get an alright grade at univeristy (Just for a backup), the only reason I am at uni is just for a backup plan in the near future, but none the less i know people who went straight to web after school and a

I dropped out of Uni for a business I started when I was 18. I was 20 when I dropped out.

It's one of lifes regrets for me. There's so much more to University than getting a degree (though this in itself will help). The lifestyle, meeting new people, networking, girls, being young.

Instead, I spent a lot of my time staring at a computer screen. I tell you, I bet there's some old guys here who would trade $1 million to be back being 20 and at Uni/college.

Hope that gives you some perspective.

Right Jimmy, but you can still have this lifestyle :)

Make enough money, involve student's in your business, and bring up some parties which the people won't forget so easy ;)
