I have a website that I'm trying to rank for a low competition keyword.
The keyword has about 30k searches/month and the top ranked site for the keyword has 32k backlinks.

At the time I mainly use Gscraper and Scrapebox to harvest and build backlinks.
I have created about 50 high PR Tier1 (5-9) Web 2.0 backlinks of which about 40 is do-follow.
And I have blasted them with about 10-20k low PR backlinks like blog comments etc.

However this have not helped me at all. According to Ahrefs, my site has only 90 backlinks and none of them are my Tier1 backlinks.
And my site haven't been ranking at all. (The site is 2 months old)

I'm having a rough time and do not know how to proceed.
What am I doing wrong? Would really appreciate some help.

    Thanks

Blasting your site with 10-20k low pr links will not have helped. A new site getting so many backlinks will raise red flags in Google.
The best way would have been to build your backlinks a few at a time and they should be higher PR's.
Start building better links and do it slowly, a few every day.
I think your site has been sandboxed by Google but keep up with the SEO and be patient.

    Good luck.

    Thanks for your answer.
Like I wrote I didn't directly blast my main site. I blasted my tier 1 backlinks.
Or do you mean that this could have a bad impact on my site aswell?

Personally, these days I wouldn't blast a site from anywhere with thousands of low quality backlinks.
If I build a new site now, I take everything slowly. First I fetch by Google it to get it indexed. I then start building a few backlinks of no less than pr2 per day. Then I do a few social bookmarks per day. Both of these link strategies should be a mix of follow and nofollow sites.
For me, if I've done my KW research well, I see results fairly quickly.
I know that other members here will jump on me for this but I never do web 2.0s.
I keep doing my SEO as I've always done it and it works well. My main tools are Market Samurai and now that they've added their new Title/Anchor Comp I find it a lot more accurate than before. The other tool is of course Scrapebox, I use this mainly to source good backlinks but I always add them manually, again a few at a time.

It's all about keeping it looking natural.:naughty:
