I started a blog and want to grow its traffic and readership. I do post articles and then promote them regularly. My blog promotion includes:

    Facebook
    Twitter
    Google+
    Pintrest
    Linkedin
    Tumbler
    Reddit
    Blog Directory

and other seo link building activities. But still I am not getting desired traffic. Only getting 10-20 visits daily. I am planning to monetize this blog, but less traffic is big concern for me.

How I can drive lots of blog traffic e.g. 1000-2000 visitors daily?

Please help. Share your views and experiences.

In this case viral contents will work much better to get desired traffic. Write quality contents and publish them in niche relevant blogs for targeted traffic.

To get more visitors target on content quality and keyword you were using should target on visitors.
Buying back links from a authority site is worth to get more traffic.
Have an attractive sharing over social media sites that describes about your site shortly.

Use SEO mate, do it slowly with patient don't go crazy and buy/make shit links for short term gain, I was in the same boat as you OP, little lost about what to do and if I go to the right way, I was at around 10 visitors / days, six month later I'm around 8k / days, I only publish 10-20 great articles by month with few good links (some month I do nothing), health site too

A good legit and safe business need time, my advice is forget blog directory and make great links, 1 great links worht so much than 1000 automated shit web2 for exemple, I have less than 100 like on my facebook page and maybe 5 follower on twitter, if I was you I will take more time to build link and spend less time on social media

There is a great idea in the thread here at http://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/easy-100-a-day-perfect-for-noobs.359445/

The poster suggests Googling your target KW and using the search tool to isolate posts in the past 24 hours, every day you could do that and provide quality, relevant comments on any blogs/forums that were updated that day. If done consistently I bet that could really help.

Traffic depends on many factor. If you want more organic traffic, then your site should be visible in top pages of google. Keep building quality links to achieve the desire traffic.

Higher in result = Higher visibility = More visitors = Traffic.

You can drive 1,000 visits from any of the traffic sources you mentioned, but you need to stick with the one you have most experience with, and really figure out how it works before moving to the next traffic source. For every traffic source, you are competing with many others.

Just judging from your distribution list, it seems you have that part down cold.

You're doing it right as far as distribution goes.

The problem might not be in promotions but the actual content that you're sharing.

It seems that you are creating a lot of content and then promoting them regularly.

You might want to hold off on frequent updates and focus more on packing as much value into each and every update you make.

For example, if you're in a niche that tends to focus primarily on one particular topic, it doesn't make any sense for you to write about anything else.

    Focus on that topic.

    But here's the "secret sauce".

You need to find a way to create a brand persona or a brand "spin" with that particular subtopic.

    Create controversial content.

Create content that thumbs its nose at a conventional wisdom regarding the particular type of content your niche is interested in.

By doing things this way, your brand stands out from the crowd.

You have to understand that when it comes to social media marketing, you have to establish a solid brand.

Otherwise, if you're just pumping it with generic content that your target audience can find everywhere else, then there's really no incentive for them to go to your site.

You're essentially spouting off the same content anyway, right?

If I were you, I'd use tools like Buzzsumo to find content trends in your niche.

Next, come up a way to blow away the competition.

For example, if in your niche list articles are great, then come up with monster lists.

For example, one of your competitors top content is 10 ways to do things, come up with an article that focuses on 100 ways to do the same things.

Do you see where I'm coming from?
