    Hi,

i 've created a few autoblogs last week and one of them has some strange behaviour when it comes to adsense.

Here it is what is happening and i can't figure out why.

I am using heatmap theme and 3 adsense ads. Suddenly ads are not visible on the front page. They appear fine when i click on a category. Also when i clcik on a post, sometimes i can see all 3 ads, some times only one ad and google public ads. Switched to a few other themes but nothing changes.

Has anybody else experienced this behaviour? I would appreciate any feedback/solutions about it.

Are you sure there are not More than 3 Ads kept! And make sure Adcodes are not Broken as Well!

If You want, I can Take a Look! (You can Always do It Yourself I suppose)

Open Robots.txt (Make a backup before editing)

Remove all lines reading Disallow: /

Clear browser's cache and check your site after an hour (Sometimes it'll take upto 12 hrs).

I have already checked the templates code and for extra ads. Also removed one unit. Still the same.

No Robots.txt file found in the site

Are You Inserting your Ads Directly through the Template?

Did you Leave the sidebar Thing?? Remove the ads From there, If there is some!

    Then Check again!

Make sure, you are not inserting the ad codes under If Statements

i.e PHP tags, which executes when parameters are Met!

Thanks gor your time and suggestions. The template is the "Hetamap". Using it in many sites, without problems. Ads are configured in template settings page and then placed in position using widgets. I have also tried another template which has 3 php files, where you just paste the adsense code. Same behaviour on both. I might create some new adsense ads, replace the current ones and see how it goes.

Add in your book that Robots.txt is not only for Site Indexing!

If you've following codes in Robots.txt Googlebots can't determine what ads to display thus ending up by filling the ad space with Public ads.

    User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
    Disallow: /

    User-agent: Adsbot-Google
    Disallow: /
    or
Disallow: /contact us or about us or disclaimer or privacy policy or any other pages which isn't eligible for ads revenue.

PS : Hope you found something new now which you aren't aware of :happysad:

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

Thank you all for your help.

Problem solved by installing and activating "Easy Privacy Policy" plugin :)
