My wife has been doing a lot of couponing stuff as a result of those silly extreme couponing shows. Coupon . com is the source of many good coupons, but they limit you on how many coupons you can print. I figured it worked by account. So I made a new account but it still showed we couldnt print them. Then I figured it was IP. Changed IP and still no luck. Deleted cookies and still nothing.

Come to find out they are actually placing an entry into my registry. So it is reading my PC. I am sure there is a way to find and delete these entries, but I am unsure how. My wife is asking me to help knowing that I do "blackhat" stuff. I told her I would jump on here and see if someone could guide me on how to find these entries and delete them.

Are you sure it places a registry entry? It sounds strange to me, maybe it checks browser id. Tried Deleting cookies, changing ip, browser, screen resolution, all at once and THEN creating an account? Are you using proxies or dynamic IP? Proxies can be detected.

Try searching your registry for the domain name and see if anything comes up and if does then delete it.

You could also try a spyware cleaner if that does not work.

If it is a daily limit you could always backup your registry before printing and then after printing restore it from the backup. That would remove anything added during the printing process.

If none of that helps, then finding a different website for more coupons would be a good alternative.

I am sure its a registry entry. I googled it and know that much for sure. I am just not too savvy when it comes to the registry and how to manipulate it. I am going to try and search by the sites name to see if I can find anything. Any other suggestions in the mean time?

stupid question maybe but if you have the coupons couldnt you just print them multiple times? or save the image and reprint?

Seems like there would be an easier solution to this.

From what I have read online it is definitely in the registry and is installed when you download their printing software. One of the older posts I read said the registry changes are made to mimic important registry entries from microsoft.

My only suggestion would be to try revo uninstaller to remove the printing software and see if it can find and remove those registry changes. Revo is free and you can find a safe download at cnet.

If it works... you could either back up your registry, install software, print coupons, uninstall software, and then restore registry. Or use revo again. All of that of course after you clear cookies, change IP, and create a new account with fake info.

Seems like a lot of work to save a few bucks with coupons but if your wife is doing it I say...Go for it. Teaching her how to change IP and create fake accounts might come in handy in your business.

If you wanted to be super blackhat you could crack their software to be delimited. Lots of coding and being skilled in programming which I could not do personally, but it is definitely possible.

This sounds like the best solution so far. And she is not just saving a few bucks. She is getting lots of stuff for free or dirt cheap. I have a son who is way into transformers. There is a coupon for $5 off any transformers toy that is 5.99 and up. So we want to get him tons of the little transformers toys for a buck a piece. That is just one example, she get's all kinds of free stuff, but is limited to how many coupons she can print. You would be surprised how much free stuff you can get, some stores even end up paying you money to take an item. It's pretty incredible. We have about $600 worth of stuff she has bought in our basement, she has paid about $50 for it all. There is A LOT of money to be saved, not just a little. Thank you for your help and suggestions. When I get home from work today I am going to play around with Revo.

you did not mentioned this software installation.. but you said that later.. so all software's place entries in registry..

now, if this situation occur to me, here is how i overcome it..

    I have Acronis True Image.
I use an older version, because newer versions are buggy.
Acronis True Image 9.0.2273 to be exact..
    torrents will help you..

now, i make a fresh install of windows.. then installs everything except coupon.com software..

now I backup my C Drive using Acronis

I have a backup, so I can install anything from now.. I will then install coupon.com software and will go the related things..

After getting the first round coupons, I will simply use Acronis to overwrite my exisiting windows C Drive...

    Then again and again...

To backup your Drive, it will take around 25 minutes...
To overwrite C Drive from backup, it only take around 5-6 minutes..

There are several other backup software's available, but I like Acronis (old version).

I mostly do these because of the virus problems from internet. Also I have a norton 2003 antivirus only have 1 year validy. So I have a non norton backup in my computer. Every 6 or 8 months I simply overwrite my C Drive and starts from fresh.

Edit: You can create bootable disk from acronis. That will save you some more time. Also if you use USB keyboard and mouse, it will make problems when overwriting. Use PSP mouse and keyboard. I only have PSP mouse, but keyboard is USB. When in the bootable disk area, I dont need to use keyboard, but mouse is a must. So I just unplugs keyboard after the CD boots. Then uses mouse for operation.

Use CCleaner to delete the registries? Reformatting is too tiring and doesn't make sense just for coupons.

Wow... did not realize coupons could save you so much. Guess I was thinking more of the 25 0r 50 cent off coupons my mom used to clip from the Sunday newspaper.

Let us know if the Revo uninstaller works for you. It has worked for me to allow me to get multiple free trials of some softwares I use.

    Good luck.
