Just checked my 2 week old site with no backlinks and it has PR4 how is this possible?
The Google Dance man... It happens... Enjoy it while it last though... It's usually not permanent... =D
I thought dance was just SERPS not PR
pr4 after 2 weeks? i got 2 week old sites that got bumped to pr1-2 but i'm sure it's just a pr dance, and it will get back to "normal" soon
Is it worth trying to sell it before it reverts?
i guess you can, but all serious buyers will check the domain age..and with a pr4 on a 2 week site..they'll think that something is fishy
Getting a brand new domain to PR4 in 2 weeks without link building is strange. Are you sure you bought a new domain and not something someone had before you but did not renew? (sometimes it takes a few weeks for a site to lose its PR after it changes owners). Also are you sure you have the real PR? (Checked with different tools/sites)
As for selling it you may get lucky but as ThunderC said experienced buyers will spot it. That said since your registration fee was 9$ + 19$ to list in flippa you may get a 200$ or more sale without having to move a finger!
Enjoy it mate. If it was mine I'd probably sell blogroll links on fiverr and get what you can out of it - if it really has no links then it's got no value other than the resell value if the PR...
Has nothing to do with 2 weeks or 2 months, the timing is the PR update.
Still odd though, I think there's a glitch in the Google system, this happens quite a bit.
That is what I mean since the PR update is every couple of weeks it may take a couple of weeks for your domain to loose its rank.
l had that happen before
the page rank will go down in a few weeks
Might be a luck in Gdance !
Its a Free Giveway from Google , sale it in good prices because the PR will not stay longer
Gdance, Sell your site before it revert , It is just PR dance
