My website was penalized recently all of my keywords back -50 to- 150 approx. in ranking some out of top 100 too. What i did to recover my website is all on page, off page optimization techniques. Finally i found a way to get my ranks back this method given my ranks back 4-5 times already.

My website ranks down -> I updated my web page and ping it on pingomatic > Next day 50% of the chances my website is cache updated and crawled by google -> New cache updated -> Rank stays otherwise rank goes down -50 to -150 all keywords including main money site keywords too.

Today i was shocked my ranks were down since last night so i checked my mailbox i found message google found dns issue with my site and was unable to access my website so i was requested to "fetch as google bot" i did that and then asked google to crawl all linked pages from index too..

Google updated my cache right away in 2 minutes time and after that my all keywords are ranking back too :)

Can anybody share is this a penalty or something else. Even last time my ranks were back only after updating meta tags only.. Mean i do any changes in homepage and my ranks are back... I thought i shall post 2-4 articles a day in my blog to ask google to visit my website everyday basis shall be good idea..

    Any other suggestions ?
Anybody else faced similar issue ?

No, I am 100% sure that after fetch as google bot clicked > My cache right away updated and ranks are back So its related to google cache and ranking issue.

and is not related to recent google updates.

When you check your website using site:domainname.com and clickon cached link in search on the top of the page you see your google cache date and time of cache.

I already said my issue is different one to any current update. It was issue started on Jan 18.
