Hi All,

As most SEO people will know by now, Google personalises it's search results for both logged in and not logged in users. HOWEVER I'm having a bit of trouble in this area and was hoping someone clever could help.

Basically Google has an option to disable customizations based on search results - achieved by clicking "web history" at top right AFTER making a search. The problem i'm having is that on two different computers i'm getting two different results even with search customizations disabled. Even between Internet Explorer and Firefox on the same computer i'm getting two different lots of results for some search terms. And this is BOTH with customizations disabled.

Does anyone have any idea what this would be from, given i'm very confident all cases are signed out of Google and with customizations turned off? The only thing I could think of was different data centers but that still doesn't really explain things. Any ideas?

Thanks
Matt

Clear your cookies on all browsers and computers. Just because you are logged out that doesn't mean that Google will not take into account your browsing history and cookies and everything else.

Matt, just ask Matt cuts.. :p joke..

i think the true SERP is when you are not logged in your google acc. sometimes google showed different results.. it doesn't matter...

For me google always shows different results based on what site I'm on, google.ca vs google.com make sure you're on the same domain because it pulls from different datacenters.

Seriously? You discovered the golden grail! Are you really surprised that search engines in DIFFERENT countries show different stuff....

Do a query - then in the resulting URL displayed in your browser add this:

&pws=0

Hit enter - unpersonalized results.
