I have never seen this before, not even on any other site I can recall let alone my own!

I have a relatively new domain that is now ranking 2nd page after a few weeks. Only thing is, the listing is simply my url eg:

    mydomainname.com

Thats it! No excerpt text, cache links all the usual just simply the link - its bizarre!

Above and below it there are normal entries eg:

    Competitor Page Title
welcome to my site yadda yadda yadda
    Cache-Similar

    but I just get a simple link...lol

Im pretty stoked with the rank, but I have a sneaky suspicion that as soon as this is corrected its gonna plummit off the face of the earth

I saw that actually about three days ago when I was just doing a regular search for something on Google, caught my eye as I'd never seen a listing like that previously.

hehe this happened to me on a wordpress blog i had. Turned out i forgot to allow search engines to spider my site, as it was set to private. Was doing my head in for ages as to why. So if its a wordpress blog check the privacy settings

    NAILED IT IN ONE!

Thanks a million mate. I can believe how fucking retarded ive been...dammit! Ive actually done this before as well but noticed sooner, ive been SEOing this site for 2 weeks ha and its been blocking spiders...

Damn Wordpress...why the hell do they do that anyway?! What kind of a douche doesnt want their site to get visitors?

Will be interesting to see what happens now then as I suppose Google have based the ranking on URL and backlinks alone? I might ping the site now and see what happens...

Maybe this will actually be a technique to get ranked quicker :p

UPDATE 04/03/10: Ranking 1st in Google.com for keyphrase. Still no detail or page title just a link to my page, but in the 1st result.

This is insane. Last night I just switched it to being visible in Google and pinged it to a few stats sites. Surely Google hasnt recrawled my site though as it would display with the page info excerpt and cache info.

I think its only been like this a few hours, had a few extra hits but not as many as you would expect from 1st place. Market samurai reports the key phrase as having 1302 searches a day.

that also happened with my website. But that is mainly due to wordpress not allowing googlebot to crawl
