    Hello,

Last 4 days I am getting 100's of unique visitors extra on one of my websites (normally it gets around 200)

When I look at the traffic:

    - Direct traffic
    - Only 1 sec on the site
    - 99% is new traffic
    - 99% bounce rate

I've never bought traffic anywhere, but I suppose this could seriously hurt my rankings over time. (high bounce rate, no time on site,...)

Anyone knows what this could mean?

I saw a cool video about a Microsoft search engineer explicitly saying that visitor behaviour will be taken in account for rankings.

I have no doubts Google will be/is doing the same.

it must be google images traffic - this happened to one of my celebrity blogs a year ago.And i was totally confused on how so many people are coming directly. Then later i realised what was happening. If you use hittail.com you will be able to see the traffic from google images and the keywords.

even if it from google images it shows images.google.com as referral in google analytics.

Try using google analytics to see where the traffic is comming from.
