Hi guys. i wanna hear your opinion about this.

A few days a go i got credited for promoting a product in health and fitness niche. but 2 days later, the buyer asking for a refund.

IMHO, the product has a good quality, because in my personal experience, it's never refunded before.

I know that money-back guarantee is part of the game, but it's just seem impossible to judge a health program~working or not working~in just 2 days.

So, what do you think? Is he/she actually a "normal" buyer? or someone who want to rehash the program? or perhaps the vendor's competitor?

(would love to hear opinions from respected CB vendors here at BHW: mikeisright, mancar487, dariusdarius, johnhunter, youtalkmedia, Gofobu)

    Thanks

Well you need to share more information on this buyers reports to why he/she wants
a refund, and will this in anyway effect your business while you hold back the buyers request ? if yes i'll advice you refund and move on.

Our own personal experience shows that regardless of the quality of the information itself, the quality of customer service, response and communication, and despite the long term value of a program in any niche, there will always be tire kickers, freebie seekers, and customers who act without any ratio or justified cause. Luckily, if the product is of good quality and does provide long term benefits for the customer, the percentage of these individuals will be very low and would hardly affect your bottom line, your relationship with your affiliates or your reputation.

That is part of the game. Some people will buy it, especially if it is a digital work, then ask for a refund. Not like you can go delete it from their computer when they do, and they know it..

That´s why sometimes you see a refund 1 hour later of the purchase. Fortunately this does not happen oftenly

Most of the refunds come within the first week of purchase.

As been said already - it's simply someone taking advantage of clickbank's no questions asked money back guarantee. Sometimes you'll get people asking for a refund literally 1 minute after making the purchase lol, without even having had time to open the product. Truth to be told, all in all I'm surprised that the percentage of people doing so is not higher. Imagine if you had the option of going to a restaurant and then, after eating all your meal, you can simply tell the waiter that you didn't really like it, and walk out...no questions asked? This was my main fear when getting started with clickbank, by thankfully very few people abuse the refund policy.

By the way, there is nothing "strange" in a typical freebie seeker/cheap or broke individual who "changes their mind" after 2 days/hours/seconds and asks for their money back, because they are "not satisfied" with their purchase without even reading the material, trying to implement it or even opening the PDF/video/Membership site.

This is simply the human nature of certain individuals. Fortunately, they are not many.

It's not really "strange". It's actually pretty normal. Most people don't ask for refunds immediately after purchase.

While CB's refund policy is more liberal than I would want it to be, it completely protects honest customers from fraudulent deals and keeps Clickbank's integrity intact in the eyes of the FTC.In the long run, the policy is actually good for us, vendors and affiliates. That is of course, unless you're operating and a highly scammy hit and run business.

If you're running a business with integrity and provide quality service, support and long term benefits for your customers, you should not see a refund rate higher than 3-4% even with CB's very generous refund terms.

For example: 94% of our products never crossed the 2% refund and chargeback limit.

That is why we have been working closely with many Clickbank super affiliates (in more than one language) for more than a decade (who would easily and blindly promote any new product that we publish without hesitation).

Someone should set up a database of serial refunders which can be queried before reaching checkout.
This could be sold as a service to digital product vendors.

Yes, it could be a competitor, but realistically you can't do a background check on every buyer. Besides, they can't "rehash" your brand and marketing, which is probably the most important piece of the puzzle.

Why not? Over the years, we had many serial refunders who not only stole our product, they turned out to be small time competitors who tried unsuccessfully to re-write our ENTIRE product and sales funnel.

Obviously we sent over our lawyers with their sharp teeth and large appetite for thieves and they were thrown out of Clickbank and got their hosting accounts banned faster that they could say DMCA.

Very typical refund savvy buyer behavior but he/she could be the vendor's competitor engaging in their daily competitive "research" (spying).
