In America can a business fire someone for who they date? Some guy on a site is saying that many companies that have moral clauses that you can get fired for dating a stripper, cam model or porn star. I have never heard of such a thing, only about associating with known criminals and that is for certain jobs like police.

I'm sure they do. Moral clauses are usually added to protect a company's reputation. Anything they think will damage it is usually included in a moral clause. As ridiculous as it sounds, that's pretty mild compared to some.

But its mostly isolated to things like schools or relgious related organisations that would have dating clauses? From what I've been reading morals clauses are allowed, but they are limits to what they can prevent you from doing. Banning someone from not dating certain individuals for does seem like in many states it may be not allowed.

Well it is usually for high paying jobs so basically they have a reputation too. They pay you a lot so they expect you to play by their rules.

Only if you sign a contract that contains a morality clause. Otherwise, no.

Someone can put whatever they want in a contract, the question is whether it is enforceable or not. I know an offline company of mine has problems firing someone that is completely incapable of their job but then that is the UK.

So if I worked at McDonald's, I could lose my job if I dated someone who could tell the time, count to ten, and spell their own name?
