Wanted to share a email with you guys that i got today about SMARTS

"Andy Jenkins here... and I want to explain
exactly WHY we pulled the rug out from under
you...

If you didn't hear about it already, we pulled
SMARTS off the market Friday afternoon.

That was NOT our plan... we had publicly
announced that we were raising the price, but we
did NOT say we were pulling the product off the
market.

That means that lots of people were shocked when
they found they couldn't get SMARTS at any
price.

Let me explain what happened...

The last few days have been a blur, but
somewhere around 36 hours ago we got some
breaking news...

It seems one of the Social Media sites we talked
about in our "No Secrets" video stopped allowing
outgoing links.

The site is scribd.com.

Almost immediately, at least one blogger pointed
an accusing finger at SMARTS, and the fact that
we spoiled a good thing by publicizing how
scribd.com was great for creating incoming links
to your site.

IMPORTANT: Using scribd.com was just one of
HUNDREDS of different things we are teaching our
SMARTS members.

Another key point - the social media landscape
is ALWAYS changing like this. These sites are
continually changing the rules... which is one
of the reasons that SMARTS teaches the
underlying strategies that will ALWAYS win in
social media.

NEVERTHELESS, as this situation developed, we
made the decision on Friday that we were going
to completely pull SMARTS off the market.

This might have been a rash decision, but we
thought it was the best thing to do at the time
to protect the integrity of our SMARTS
community. We're going to watch how this plays
out hour-by-hour.

If you got caught in the crossfire and missed
out on SMARTS, you have my sincere apology."

You know i don't even see way so many people are buying into this. $800 to learn web 2.0 thats BS! Its not wroth it when you can find the info of free on places like this. I'm a strong believe in content is king and search engines like goggle will dominate Internet marketing for years to come. Its all comes down to driving traffic to a content based website. And i have news for stomper net, places like myspace, when i get on there i could care less about finding a product or being apart of a group were people are trying to sell me something. Idk maybe I'm just old fashion like that and dont really see the advantages of web 2.0. Myspace and facebook is were a go to be social with friends and thats it.

What are your opinions on web 2.0?

This is interesting news, but just one more reason not to pay tons of money for internet marketing tactics because these types of "gimmicks" never last.

A lot of what you can learn about Web 2.0 can be found on Forums.

That's the reality.

Isn't it interesting how very few Gurus have shared their results
with Web 2.0? I mean REAL $ MONEY.

Heh, I can't believe that people would pay 800 smackers to learn how to post links to digg, to get se rankings. Dumping your links to social bookmarking sites isn't exactly rocket science. :)
