Recently I have had ALOT more time to get on BHW and explore a bit more... Today I want to talk about stocks, I use to play with Smart stocks (Virtual Real-time Stock Market) & I remember doing very well with stocks and having great returns, too bad I didn't play with real cash at the time
, for the new year I am planning to go ahead and get into the stock market a bit...
When it comes to Stocks, I don't limit the thought of "Innovation" to just tech companies like Appl, but like to focus on companies that are potentially as innovative, the big guys in Health care, Financial services, etc... Below are some stocks I want to invest in myself. I am not no guru in stocks, and never invested in them before... Has anyone here played with them? what are your thoughts on the companies I chose?
1. Berry Plastics (BERY)- This company supplies Burger King, Colgate, Palmolive, Pillsbury, Hershey's and 13k+ more clients. Recently companies have been shying away from Glass, metal and traditional plastic packaging because they are getting more expensive and is harmful to the environment... The first time I researched this company it was at $24.81, now it's at $35.57...
2. XOOM: This will explain this one: http://www.thestreet.com/story/13206809/1/xoom-stock-gains-after-being-acquired-by-paypal-for-890-million.htmlDoes anyone recommend any stocks? I found that if you closely look at Yahoo News trends, you can find some gems
