    Hi,
I'm wondering if it is still possible to get exact match search volume after google removed that option.
Longtail pro & other tools claim to have the exact match data but where do they get it from?
Is there a trick/service or are they just pretending?

    It's from Google Keyword Planner.

Not sure they are pretending or not. But Keyword Research tools are collecting Data from Google.

LTP gets its data from the Keywords Planner inside of Adwords account which you have to have. If you don't have an Adwords account, LTP will not be able to fetch the data.

Since when did google remove exact match search volume? I think you're thinking when they reduced the significance of exact match domains, so they rank like normal domains. It used to be that your exact match domain would rank really high for the key word, but not anymore. You can still rank high for long tail kew words though.

I think OP meant that the Google keyword tool is not available anymore. He wasn't aware that the Google keyword tool is now the keywords planner inside Adwords and available only when you logged in.

The old Keyword Tool had a menu to select the kind of search volume it should show, exact, broad,...
That option is not available in the new Keyword Planner and I think that I've read somewhere that the Keyword Planner is showing only broad search volumen.
That's where my question comes from.
