I have a couple broad niche websites that are doing okay. But I want to ramp up my Adsense earnings to $2k to $3k per month. Is this even possible? I think it should be. I have one broad niche site that is bringing in about $50 per month and it's not even ranking in Google! It ranks in top three on Bing and Yahoo, which sends about 150 visits per month. So I'm on a mission to get that thing ranked in Google. Over the Christmas Holiday last year it made $1,000 between November and December. And again, it didn't rank in Google!

Am I barking up the wrong tree? I'm not really focusing on any specific process. Just threw that site up and it stuck. I have others that didn't stick and bring traffic but not much revenue. So my questions primarily are:

    1. Is $3k monthly possible through a few Niche websites? (I don't want to mess w/ creating hundreds of them)
    2. Best affordable way to populate sites with content?
    3. What do you do to rank them FAST?!
    4. Adsense optimization? Which themes do you like? Where is the best placement for your ads?
    5. Text and image ads or only text ads?

That's all for now. If anyone here is really experienced and can help me improve my skills, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

build authority sites, it should be called now "macro niche site". no more emd, just rank the inner pages.

Niche sites - YES. Micro niche - NO - niche site is simply a site around a theme. These days bigger sites work better for sure!

thanks for the helpful replies! Sorry to hear someone lost a ton on microniche sites! Yeah, I wasn't talking about the little 5 page microsites. The two sites I have now are "broad" niche sites. One is a health/wellness "blog" that has about 300 quality posts. It gets about 150 visits per day, but very very little Adsense revenue. I tried some Peerfly offers and a clickbank weightloss product and only had 2 conversions on the peerfly offer and 1 conversion on the clickbank product.

The other one is kind of a consumer review site of various online shopping sites. This is the "niche" site that I want to grow. Maybe I should rephrase the title of my thread. These are "macro" niche sites and are growing in content very steadily. I haven't done much linkbuilding yet to the consumer review site. But it's converting to ad clicks. I just checked again, and it has earned just over $1,400 over the past 8 months. But most of that happened over the Christmas Holiday between November and December. So my list of questions above are related to scaling this up. Does anyone have any input or advice regarding my list of questions:

    5. Text and image ads or only text ads?

yes still making with mns. But no longer ranking in 1st page of google, 100% clicks are from bing n yahoo now. Almost 90% of my mns are now nowhere to be found in google. Revenue confirm drastic drop, still making ok income from bing n yahoo searches.

    1. Is $3k monthly possible through a few Niche websites? (I don't want to mess w/ creating hundreds of them)
Of course that is possible, but how many is considered "few" to you? I have 7 MNS without doing any backlinking for more than 1 yr, but still generate 30$+ per mth for each site.

    2. Best affordable way to populate sites with content?
I have all my content done in BHW's BST. Depending on how you weight it, every income in IM need certain investment to generate on going revenue. Basically I will have less than $10 for 1k article. Afterall we do not know when we will be banned without any valid reason from crazy G, so I do not spend much on adsense articles.

    3. What do you do to rank them FAST?!
That's a million dollar question. But do search in here. Some offer low competition level keywords niches with a package. I have some success when buying from the sellers here, some rank super fast, some sucks.

    4. Adsense optimization? Which themes do you like? Where is the best placement for your ads?
I personally like clean theme with 2 colors. No fancy design for distraction. Best placement will be big block just below your H1 title, right side bar following your "recent posts"

    5. Text and image ads or only text ads?
    Mixture of both.

    1. Is $3k monthly possible through a few Niche websites? (I don't want to mess w/ creating hundreds of them)
Yes absolutely, I personally have yet to start my niche site journey, but I know quite a few people that earn between $500-$3000 per month per niche site.

    2. Best affordable way to populate sites with content?
TBH You are going to have to spend money for quality content, filler content isn't going to cut it anymore. So find a few good writers.

    3. What do you do to rank them FAST?!
Keyword research should keep the seo down. But I would plan on social media with forum comments that add good information to the thread. Along with these make sure to make high quality multiple post Web 2.0's (Make sure it is not all about your specific keyword, have variety).

    4. Adsense optimization? Which themes do you like? Where is the best placement for your ads?
All of this depends on your niche and how you want the website to flow, I love simple themes. I can't tell you the best ad placement as you will have to test it yourself.

    5. Text and image ads or only text ads?
I normally do both, but feel free to do your research and test it out.

Thanks those are good tips. I have ordered some content from Natasha Nixon here through a BST. It was pretty cheap, so hopefully it's decent quality. I only ordered 5 articles to begin with to check it out.
