Can one get in trouble if they launch a online fashion store and blog based on ideas they got from various pinterest boards? It seems easier to use pinterest for getting ideas than doing in depth research in the fashion industry for a subniche, due to all the woman that post on pinterest.

i am no expert on the matter but as far as know as long as you credit the source you are covered, so i would just try to find a vague want to credit the source. maybe even just have a click-able text some where called credits that will take a person to a new page where you can credit your source. 99% of people will never see it if you make the credit link tiny and off in a corner and the text shade no so close as to make it hidden but faded a little

Pinterest is Good Place for getting ideas to Blog about but if you are thinking about posting their Content on your site then you can get notice Pinterest Posters are especially very sensitive about material they share

I won't be posting their content, just using it for research.

Alot of women I noticed are over protective of stuff they make and think they are big shots when it comes to copyright and privacy rights. They don't even have to be monetizing the stuff, sometimes they freak out about it and threaten lawsuits and jail time lol.

I'll go find where its being sold and if they do drop shipping of it, or affliate program I would add it to the store, and if it was something really cool like that I would write a short blog article.

I don't see why getting an idea off a Pin of something they didn't actually invent would cause you problems from them. Maybe I missed something but I don't see anything.

I'm using it for a white hat project, if I was going to do offshore hosting and stuff I wouldn't care at all Pinterest's TOS or their legal team usually does.

Yeah but are these Pins of clothes Pinterest users thought were cool but that other people are selling? I'm not good at legal nittygritty but I can't think that they'd have anything on you for that.

I don't see reason why getting an idea from Pinterest boards could be something wrong... I often go on CNET and see what they are writting about and write my own article about that... Becuase big sites have info what is the next trend etc..., they have insights and many manufacturers gives them a hint about some of the new products... Im not doing anything wrong, just read and get an idea...

    UPDATE:
From doing research for another project, I found out that fashion ideas and ideas in general have no copyright protection whatsoever. When I made this thread I was overtly paranoid about lawsuits, but in the past 2 weeks after reading some laws in many areas in regards to copyright, privacy rights, civil judgements etc. I'm no longer paranoid.

Offer to come over and give them a good, hard fuck. In 99% of the cases that cures the bitch out of a woman. Well, temporarily anyway.

I later learned that the best way to deal with people that are over protective is bring up they are violating menacing laws if the content is not copyrighted and their threatening jail time.

In the PPC/media buying industry, there are people who copy exact landing pages, ads, ad-copy etc and I haven't heard anyone being sued.

This is part of IM anyways. People will always try to copy other people just so they can profit from it.
