A few weeks ago mtime88 advertised that he had a couple hundred unpublished rewritten articles for sale in this post. I was interested in purchasing a few so I contacted him and I asked if the articles passed copyscape. He said that 90% of the articles would. Sounded good to me, so we made a deal - 50 articles for $25.

I checked all of the articles in copyscape and none of them passed. Many of them were actually copied word for word from article directories (no wonder AC didn't like mtime88 :rolleyes: ) These articles were absolutely useless so I asked for a refund. He wanted to send me 50 more but I declined because checking another 50 articles in copyscape would just be a waste of my time and money. Anyways, I asked for a refund again, no reply. Haven't heard from him since.

BTW, a Mod or Admin can verify our entire conversation - it's all in my PM box.

Well first let me start by saying all the people jumping to conclusions, you should atleast wait for my side. Yes I did sell him the 50 article intended to be used on AC. If they pass copyscape or not they would have been accepted on AC. You told me you were not satisfied I offered to replace all of the articles. The reason I could not issue a refund is because how would I know that you didn't submit the articles already and then get your money back. Also about not responding to your pms, you decided to dispute on paypal, so I responded on there( I can show logs there if you like).

Anyone who has labeled me as a scammer... I have sold many items on digitalpoint, sitepoint, and all over the web without a single negative itrader or feedback.
 
mtime88 has a good point. He doesn't know if you already submitted the articles or not so it's hard to determine whether or not he should refund your money. He tried to resolve the issue but you refused his offer and decided to dispute on gaypal. mtime88 doesn't seem to be a scammer, just a liar.
 
mtime88, welcome to the business world, where you can not please 100% of the people. It just doesn't happen.

People that want refunds need to realize the market they are dealing in, with a lot of unscrupulous people that will steal a business operator blind and not think twice about it. And the customer should also realize that anything that they say the scammers and thieves say too, so it is all worn thin and a business operator can not believe any of it any more, or drop the business and give everything away for free.


In this BH world refunds are not possible, it is not like you have bought an item at a store and they can get it back with no use.

People need to get real, and, when offered a replacement, take it.
 
I got sick of selling info on ebay, as I got tired of people leaving neg because they have their computer set up to view a cd with a pucture software by default.

I ended up just refunding without question, and uped my price to cover it.

If mtime88 had the articles rewriten for him, he may have been screwed. Many different ways, not rewritten at all, or writer sold them to someone else.

I purchased article rewrites here, and was not happy, posted my results for everyone to see, did not try to get my money back, just moved on. No time to waste on bad money spent.

There are always different sides to everything, If you have someone talking about making it right [even if it is not what you want] sometimes you have to count it as a win.

A note, anyone of my ebay buyers that left neg, never got refund. Anyone that just asked for one, Got it. Your actions can cause reactions.
 
That could be so but if he offers rewritten content and the articles someone gets are (and i quote) "actually copied word for word from article directories" then there is enough reason for a dispute, the fact that he bought it from a member of BHW doesn't mean he have to accept this.

mtime88 should not have sold those articles in the first place. because he knew they weren't rewritten so his excuse that Darkhatter could have submit them doesn't fly at all because copyscape isn't that fast with indexing new content (that is that Darkhatter didn't wait days with his dispute)
 
I alerted mtime88 that the articles were all shit the same night that he sold them to me. He could have at least checked a few at random in copyscape to make sure I was telling the truth. Like DaveNL said, copyscape wouldn't have indexed them already if I was trying to publish them and get a refund.

To be honest, I think he just got fucked over with a ton of crap articles from one of his writers and tried to recoup the losses by selling the junk to me.
 
Dave, the only thing you are missing is the lack of proof on the part of darkhatter. This is why I am doubtful of so many of the people wanting refunds, we do not know if they were used or not and if a person is trying to scam.

I am not saying darkhatter is trying to scam, but, I can not say that darkhatter is not trying to either.

When dealing with this type of stuff, since no one shows proof, a business operator has to err on the side of caution. bk's thing was different, since he could gauge the stupidity level of his customers.
 
We can do something as a forum member. Regardless of a members reputation with selling products in the past, we need to start judging them from their more recent sales. Many times they have a long history of unhappy customers. Normally, the sellers take the tone of 'If you would have approached me with respect'. Why would they? You scammed them.

Believe it or not, it's getting irritating to see the same thread after each release of some members' software. Vote with your head and your wallet, quit buying their junk. Eventually, they will quit selling it until it is in final form.

If anyone's interested, they can copyscape a few of these articles and you will see that they were published long before I recieved them (10/30/08)

Some of these articles were published as far back as 2005!

Is that enough proof for you guys? Or did I somehow hack into multiple article directories and websites and change the publish dates? :rolleyes:

Alright I understand that the articles were not up to par that is why I offered you a replacement set from another author of mine. As I just could not offer a refund.
 
The only reason I purchased the articles from you is because you stated that 90% of the articles would pass copyscape. NONE of the articles passed copyscape. That's more than just "not up to par" and should more than warrant a full refund. If you didn't bother to copyscape any of the articles before selling them to me, you were being deceitful in claiming that 90% of them would pass. End of story.
 
although he has fewer posts here etc i full backup darkhatter.... i just went to do a split with this guy and my first payment failed so i got some more funds (took me 7 mins) within that time he went and found someone else to do it with even though he agreed to wait 5 mins.... wouldnt deal with this guy peoples if i were you....EVER!!!
 
I have issued darkhatter a full refund because I can kinda see where he is coming from. As for lewi just stop crying....

Was going to split xrumer purchase but lewi bsed me saying 5 more minutes for more than 30 minutes.
 
I can understand that POV really. I can understand lewi not wanting to miss the boat too.

Sounds like you two where in a lose-lose situation.
 
Lewi, you don't get to say 'okay I'm in' and then not have the money. Its first come first serve. Theres no 'but i said i would have the money' because who knows, maybe you flake out and don't ever come up with the money and mt tells everyone else hes got someone.
