I have WP plugin "statspress" it shows I'm getting about 70-100 visitors a day on one of my autoblogs but analytics shows about 4-5 visits a day. I am not counting my own views. I rarely go on my main page; go right to admin dashboard so its not my own hits.

    Anyone have some insight?

    Try Statcounter instead.

I find no matter which stats packages you use if you use more than one they'll never agree. I stick to just one GA which in my experience gives the most accurate results and I exclude my own IP (it's fixed) so my own impressions / clicks are always ignored.

If I have an Autoblog I don't want GA on I'll use wordpress stats with a new Akismet API key or maybe Woopra so that I leave no footprint.

Statpress Reloaded works much better but it will still count some bot traffic (particularly from whois directories and such if you have used one of those programs to ping your site).

I just pay attention to the search traffic to see what is coming in and trust GA for the rest. I just don't like having to log out of my personal account and into my GA accounts to get an idea of what traffic I am receiving throughout the day.

Try it and see what you think. You can run them at the same time.
