Does anyone know why my stats are all over the place?

My maxbounty accounts shows 3303 clicks.
My bit.ly accounts shows 161 clicks.

I shortened the URL for the CPA offer on maxbounty with bit.ly and am using the unique URL function on tweet attacks.

    Can some enlighten me please?

Hmm... That's a toughie. Are you doing any tracking outside of the shortener and MB? It doesn't sound like it.

My guess is that bit.ly's tracking has issues with the unique URL function, although not being the guy who coded it up, I can't be sure. That's my guess though.

Could be some sort of delay in stats or something?

What other tracking could I do? I am not using my own landing page.

I have sent bit.ly an email asking any how.

    Stats are there just wrong.

the reason is maxbounty is most likely counting bot hits, and bit.ly does its best not to count these visits as hits.

^^^ I have also seen this with MB & Twitter, MB 100% count bot hits whereas Bit.ly does not, actual traffic stats on my site show that at least 60% of the hits generated from Bit.ly sharing comes from bots, especially if you are posting the link on Twitter.

yes, you are correct. MB also counts my bot hits from tweeting. you probably only have about 161 real clicks OP in all reality lol because there are MANY bots on twitter

Thanks everyone now it all makes sense and my conversion rate is now more like 10% instead of 0.0001% :)

No problem, best way to fix this is use a LP.
Send your traffic to your Landing Page before they get sent to your offer.
This will water down the bot hits on your network stats, and keep the advertisers happy.
