Starting with .org expired domain

I have a simple question.

I found an expired domain with .org TLD. Can I use it as my affiliate website?

The website is related to the niche which I am going to start.

Do I have to choose the .com domain instead?

Thank you for your answer. You know why did I ask this? Because in almost every website I read everyone tells that you should aim for .com domain otherwise people won't trust your website since it would look like a gov or charity website and something

No problem using .org. There is no difference in ranking.

Problem is user behavior, mostly, they expect .org to be non-commercial so it's usually harder to get legit links.
