I have had two web design sites for a while each offering their own services (one is for basic and less costly sites while the other is professional web design). I haven't done much to market them admittedly, and think an affiliate program would benefit me.

I don't have too much technical knowledge, but would like to know what the best option would be for this business model. I am trying to pay a percentage of each sale, and would like to know what my best options are if I don't have too much to spend on the tracking software.

If it helps at all, my sites are wordpress based.

    Thanks in advance!

Assuming people pay up front (this would be easiest way to track sales from affiliates) I would recommend idevaffiliate, think the script is like 99 bucks, but it has all the features you would ever need for your needs with a ton of reporting features.

If people don't pay upfront you might have to offer CPC or CPL to affiliates but in my experience it's probably not worth it and you're better off giving them a CPA (even if it's a fixed $ amount) per sale they refer

Thanks for the reccomendation. One site (the lower end) has set prices and would work well using that model.

The more expensive one doesn't have set prices, and probably wouldn't work that way. CPC and CPL basically scare me due to the fact I have no real technical knowledge and know I would have no idea how to control clickfraud. Ah well..

I'm in the same situation as you and there's a program called Post Affiliate Free which is free (duh) if you have up to 10 affiliates. It's genius marketing because they let you have it for free but if your affiliate program takes off you can upgrade for like $19 a month and have an unlimited amount of affiliates.

It's kind of a pain to set up (if you know HTML you'll be fine) but it works very well.

    Code:

    Good luck!
