Wrote 30 unique 500 word articles on a niche. Each keyword gets between 200-2000 views per month as per big G. Site is getting indexed, but I am feeling dread and a bit of depression. Not quite sure what I SHOULD be doing right now. Since its not BH, I have to do manual blog postings.

Here's what I've done so far:

Day 1 promo

Submitted 4 articles to ezinearticles
Submitted 4 articles to goarticles
Submitted 4 articles to articlebase
Signed up for 5 forums, profile links
3 Blog links (name field)
Sent 3 articles with AMR
Setup wordpress blog links pointing home
Setup blogger blog pointing links to wordpress blog and home
2 posts on wordpress blog
2 posts on blogger blog

Day 2

Setup hosting, updated site, setup channels adsense.
Notice a couple of backlinks from article sites and a couple blog posts already.
Submit wordpress Rss and site rss with RSS submit
Setup google analytics
Setup statcounter

1 page indexed
Manually blog posted 3 pr 5 links
Found a couple of my articles hosted on sites, grabbed rss feeds of them and submitted to rss directories.
Submitted to about 60 directories(expecting them all to regect or want recip)

Day 3

4 pages indexed in G
Posted 7 forum profile links
new post on blogger
new post on wordpress
manual post 10 PR 1-5 links from blogs.
Digg 3 pages of site.
Only 13 backlinks so far, 11 from one blog and 2 from articlebase(no-follow).
Slurp arrived hit 2 pages.

But. Should I be adding more content? I mean I don't even know how this niche is gonna pay off, if its good or not. Should I just continue to post to blogs manually and get some forum links?

Submit more articles?

Guess I have no "process", and scared to death of getting banned or sandboxed. My competitors have 15k backlinks. Not sure I can get even 50 of em :(

Any ideas on a Grey hat type strategy? I keep seeing things about high pr links, but I mean, how many??

I'm the kind of person that needs to have a plan in place, but not sure what will keep me safe.. I am an article writer. I can write articles extremely fast that include LSI and are optimized, so I have no problem with articles. Should I be concentrating on that or links right now?

Adsense btw..

Thanks (sorry noob)...

EDIT: 15k backlinks not 1500k lol

Don't fret about those 1500k backlinks - I'm guessing it's a page like Wikipedia. They don't really have 1500k backlinks you need to worry about; look at the specific page backlinks.

Guess I'll just keep manually posting blog links heh..

hmm. The pages I do have indexed, i'm ranking around 8-14'th for. No traffic, I'm not really taking this as a good sign at all. I'd assume SOME visitors with a #8 ranking.

But most of these keywords are like 1000 searches per month, since I can't find anything in my niche that is more, that is "easy to rank for". My plan(since I suck at finding backlinks) was to bottom feed wit ha lot of keywords. But really I thought I'd have a click or two come through with about 10 pages in the top 10 serps.

~starting to feel like I made a mistake here with this keyword. Its kinda like a home remodeling kinda type niche.

I always choose niches like "gardening", "kitchen cabinets".. Perhaps these are bad choices.

I'm embarrassed to say, just about ALL day Literally, I checked logs to see bot activity, I refreshed my statcounter thing like probably over 60 times today, checked search engine to check indexing like 30 times..

Was a bad day. What did I do today? Nothing, except worry. Zero visitors.

You need to step up your game if you want to rank well. keywords with 200 a month rarely give you any traffic even if you rank 1. The ones with 2000 a month will give you something like 30 uv a day in case you actually number 1. The reality is it's a pain in ass to get number 1 since the competition in the first page is quite tough.

Right now you should start to see some traffic if a couple of your pages rank at least 5.

I also think that you choose keywords with too low search per month, in the end I doubt whether you would cut it at a couple dollars a day.

adsense always give you the lowest income of all, a lot lower than Clickbank which is already famous for shitty conversion.

My advice is that choose keywords with something like 10,000 search a month and work up for it, of course your current SEO strategy is nothing , so step up your game.

Yeah, current seo strategy is manually post 10 blogs a day for backlinks and submit a couple articles haha..

Like Sky Knight said, my first though after reading the original post was that is too much effort for a keyword that generate so little search traffic. Perhaps you can use a free program such as trafic travis (if you are not already using it) and work on your keywords!

BTW, is it too early to take any real information from the site, since its just now getting indexed. About 18 pages so far and 6 pages ranking in the top 10. Its only 4 days old(since I signed up with hosting and bought the domain), will the rankings drop after a month or go up, even If I dont add any backlinks?

67 backlinks now, mostly from 5 sites. Other backlinks I've done are non-existant :(

;) I didn't even know about the term "indexing backlinks" lol soo, I didn't. Probably about 80 of them in total, but yeah, I don't even know where I dropped them, so I can't go back and try to index em :(

As a little advice from another newbie, next time you create backlinks copy all the URL in a txt file, then go around bhw and search for tuts on how to index your backlinks.

Good luck

Not a big deal. Seearch it on Google or even in this forum. You'll find a huge process of indexing links. Until then keep your SEO ongoing. Your backlinks would be indexed automatically.

Hey! Got 4 visitors from Google today and made .29 cents lol. The good thing about it though, really is the stats and catching those keyword searches, once I see a pattern, well, I'll take the appropriate article action :)

At least I'm seeing some activity, I was really down about it...

Seems about 5 pages are in the top 10 and another 10 are 50+ in the serps. Not sure if I should work on those keyword pages that are 50+ in the serps, seems like a long way to go.

About 5 visitors a day... Not sure if links are gonna improve this any? Even worth it?

40 pages indexed, 15 in the top 100, 10 in top 10. About 15 visitors a day. 0.0% CTR. No backlinks indexed in G. 1000 Listed in Yahoo, but they are mostly from 2 domains. So about 10 total backlinks in Yahoo.

Although I sent out 300 articles, about 30 profile links, about 30 blog comments... ughhh This is taking forever hahaha I guess that bookmarking stuff is just for indexing and not backlinks? I bookmarked like crazy.. no links..

I think I need to pay for a blast :)
