    Alright then guys,
Looking into starting my own watch brand and would like to ask the BHW community if they have any experience in the watch/ jewellery market. I would start by selling online and marketing my brand through social media. I would then go into my local indipendant clothing stores and try and get it stocked there. What i have found is that a lot of these shops do not stock watches at the moment and i asked an owner of one shop and they said he would be interested. My target market would be aged 15-30 and would be like urban/ street wear and would be digital watch. I don't know much about designing watches and stuff but i think if i just find a manufacturer to scribe the name of the brand on a already designed watch as i see this quite a lot on clothing brands. The watch would probably be a digital watch in the same style as a Casio G-Shock. I would like the watch to be in the price range of around £40 and the quality to be high (staying clear of silicone/ cheap plastic) waterproof if possible aswell. At the moment the market for indipendant clothing brands is huge as there are lots of people starting to print their own designs onto shirts etc and they are doing very well. I haven't seen anyone go into watches and i think my target audience (teens who are 'hip' or 'cool') would be interested in purchasing a watch from an unknown brand. This may be difficult to understand for those who are a little older but yeah thats what us kids are like these days haha :p
Does anyone have any experience in this field and could give me advice on manufacturers?

    Thanks guys

there are companies that will make a private label watch. manufacturing is the easy part. your trouble will be with branding and getting people to pay that kind of money without being a known brand.

You will have to spent a lot for ads if you want to build the brand. Not only via internet you also have to promote it via tv etc etc.Its really hard and i bet competitive...
