Starting A Business Helping Guys Pick Up Women In San Diego. How Should I Market It?

So I have always wanted to help guys pickup girls and I always noticed how many guys are scared to talk to the opposite sex. I have no problem with women and have always studied the art of "picking up" and I always wanted to help guys realize how easy it can be.

So I decided to start a "consulting" business on picking up chicks where I go out with guys helping them talk to girls, help them picking the right clothes to wear and text game etc...

Now... I have no experience in marketing local since all my businesses have been paid advertising and SEO for ecommerce/dropshipping stores.

My thinking is to target nerdy college students via facebook but what other methods do you guys have in mind?
 
Advertise on BHW
Have a look at that millionaire matchmaker program. Have a look around where they are online, could be discussed on forums etc and might get a few tips of where they advertise. You could even comment below their stories etc, curious guys may be looking around for some advice etc and stumble onto your business.

So just like how people come to BHW and are all of a sudden Gurus. People are getting a copy of The Game or Magic Bullets and all of a sudden they are Pick up Artists. haha, I'm not bashing you I just thought it was funny. If you're going to do that then you want to put yourself out there. I'm in college right now and my friends and I are always talking about girl and picking them up, but you never really get your point across until you can show it in person. I suggest you make a youtube channel. If you check out vitalyzdtv y on youtube and look at his Pick Up videos they are hilarious, but check out the comments people love it. Of course when your out you only want to be seen with HB8's and above, be the guy that guys want to be.

Thanks man. Exactly What I was thinking. The only problem is most of these forums are situated for across the web. I know there are dating bootcamps out there, might try and reverse engineer those.
 
I'm starting an email list related to the pickup game. I've studied it a lot as well. I think maybe one day I'll branch off into the live coaching side once my list gets big enough. I remember when I was heavy into it the big time guys would charge $2500+ a person to do live training and they would cap it at 4-5 people. That's awesome money for a couple of days work.

It's not like a read a few books. I have been doing this stuff since I was like 11 years old.

But yeah, i know vitaly and simple pickup and all the youtube stuff but that doesn't really show skills. They just go up and talk to chicks, which in reality it is that easy but try just showing that to some 25 yr old virgin who never kissed a girl. You think he's going to just go out and talk to a girl after watching vitaly do it? Don't think so

I have wanted to do the solely online game but it is so saturated. Anyone and everyone can do some online training but many of these guys want that personalized attention because we as people are all so unique with different personalities.

This has left a wide open niche for local pickup business. The only thing is that people aren't actively seeking the help. They need my help but they just don't know it yet ;)

The online side is saturated, but I'm just trying to build a list in dating. Not establishing a name. San Diego is big and rich enough where you could feasibly do it. Maybe try and drive some leads through Facebook targeting some local colleges.

Teaching pickup is really all about helping guys become more confident. Most of the people that would pay for coaching are guys that are terrified of women. It amazes how many of us can't handle conversing with a female.

Yeah man exactly! ALthough I never understood why so many guys could spark up conversations with random dudes any day but when it comes to talking to a chick, then feel inadequate.

Thanks for the advice, think I am going to start with some of the rich private schools out here and target a niche demographic.
 
You don't get what I am saying, I'm not saying do what they do, I am telling you to get people excited. No one cares about what your skills are in this industry, it's either can you pick up women or not. Cajun, Mystery, and any other Pickup Artist will agree, especially when you're talking about starting with consulting on a one on one basis.
 
I was in this business for a few years. By the time I quit it seemed like there were more "gurus" out there than clients. Funny thing is that a lot of the ones teaching had little in the way of skills outside of flash game.

As stated- highly saturated and the guys that need help the most don't seem to have much to spend. Of course if they did they wouldn't need the help. Haha, vicious circle. That's why I got out of it a long time ago. If I were to do it now I would try to come up with a way to target wealthy guys who haven't been exposed to the "community" yet. Everything they need to know is already out there for free so with the online crowd it's tough to sell yourself. Maybe specialize in a niche like ethnic women or something...

Also, be able to deliver what you promise. I've been out with a lot of so called PUAs that just can't pull a hot girl from a nightclub consistently. Anyone can get a phone number but when your clients see you making out with very attractive women that you just met their confidence will be much higher. Once you make the same thing possible for them your reputation should bring you plenty of referrals. Good luck with it.

Okay... I wasn't planning on going the traditional route as these guys go anyways. The thing is, these guys are so scared and there is a lot of pressure for them to talk to girls. I want to make it fun. Like, let's go out and have a drink fun and the side aspect is we will meet chicks and have fun getting rejected, pulling, or whatever.

No pressure. Everyone is in the same boat. We aren't some guru. Just a regular guy having fun meeting women
 
College is a bad demographic to target. Unless its the guys about to leave and get jobs. If you can't get laid in college then, damn, you're f**ked

Thanks a lot for the advice. How did you initially get your clients? And I don't want to target the people that have been exposed to the PUA stuff. The hardest part is to find those people.

You made a lot of valid points and I appreciate that. Did you see any success with your business?

I don't have a problem with not pulling although it would kill your business if the guys looking up to you see you come home empty handed lol.

Dude, why does everyone think guys get laid in college? I am not talking about frat boys or the cool kids with social skills. I am talking about the nerdy guys who are too scared to even approach a women.

You would be surprised how many guys have this problem. More than you think and many once they leave college have lost any chance. So maybe guys leaving college getting jobs. Good point tho.

In the early years of college all you money is spent on week and booze, no one will be able to pay you so yeah definitely target those about to get jobs or who have jobs coming out of school.

And it is easy. I am 19 years on in college right now. Weird kids get laid all the fucking time, you just think they don't haha. The only kids that don't are the ones that keep their head down in class and never say one word to anyone, or those that claim to be pick up artists. In college if people get the slightest hint that you're picking them up you'll be made a joke up, definitely not a place for a beginner to practice picking up girls. If they want to interact it's on them to join clubs and put themselves out there. So maybe you'd need to be a motivator and get them working out and going to clubs.

Very true man. Picking up and talking to girls is all about having the confidence and motivation to do so. Enjoy your college years btw, I sure did ;)
