First of all, I just want to say that when I came to BHW about 6-8 months ago (I think?) I was running one Social Media Account making about $150 a month. Now I run five accounts on multiple platforms, several different websites, design websites for high profile clients, and am pulling in $300-1000ish a month. Obviously some months are far, far better, and some are worse. At this point it hasn't necessarily been about the money I make, but the empires and legitimate companies I am building that make me believe there is a chance I can quit my fucking 9 to 5 job before I turn 40 (I'm in my mid 20's). While this can be attributed to my never-say-die attitude I've developed, and the skills I've added to my toolbox, none of it would even be possible in the first place without BHW. Most of the people here are beyond wonderful, and the fact that there are so many people here that are passionate about contributing to the success of people they will probably never actually meet and could be potential competition, is a beautiful thing that keeps me on these forums everyday. So, thank you.

ANYWAY, my next Journey is going to be an Amazon Affiliate Site with a different twist than most of the tutorials on here state. My price point is lower than recommended (most products range from $15-60) in my niche, and I'm not entirely sure of the value of Pillar Articles and things like that with this niche. I do however understand the importance of SEO. What I do have is a domain name that I'm very excited about, successful social networks already in sub-niches of this one that can be used to promote, and excellent web-design skills to create a professional looking website. This niche is something that I am passionate about, and love working in this field, so while I might fail or make less money than this method is designed to make you, that's fine with me. I want to indulge myself in the world of Amazon Affiliate Site's and if this is something I can find myself being good at, then I'll look into a more profitable niche and go for that. With all that said, I've gotten started on this journey, but I have a few questions for the experts here before I move on.

    1. I'm having an incredibly hard time writing a script, and creating a CronJob for Amazon Price Monitoring. And I've also read on here not to even post the prices of your products, and just to add Amazon Buy Now buttons. However, my site is set up with an e-commerce feel and I'd like to post ACTIVE Amazon Prices if possible. Can anyone advise on this? Or are there any tutorials on here on how to create a price monitoring script and cronjob for Amazon using HostGator cpanel?

    2. Like I said, I know SEO is HUGE and to a lot of people on here, it's everything. I know not having a "pillar" and "secondary articles" can be SEO suicide. However, my domain name is EXACTLY what my primary keywords are. Do I REALLY need this SEO work done with articles that I honestly am not even sure if they will have any value to my consumers? Are there any other SEO practices that would be better worth my time?

Thank you all for your time!

    Hi there,

It's great to hear about your successes with Social Media over the past 8 months.

I would definitely avoid placing active Amazon prices on your website as you could be banned from the Amazon program (it's against TOS). Be careful if you plan on making a website that looks like a sales page. Amazon tends to reject those types of pages since they don't add much value to potential customers in the eyes of Amazon.

That being said, Amazon is one of the greatest affiliate programs out there to make money online, especially when combining it with your previous social media method, mailing lists, ect. Just be careful and read over their TOS thoroughly. They're like Google and will ban you if anything looks remotely suspicious. :)

I'm about to start similar project (Amazon affiliate site with lower price point) however will just be using reviews and Buy Now button.
High quality articles are really important and make sure it is at least 1000 words or even more.
    Good luck with your journey!

Read the Amazon terms of service very carefully they are ban happy, if they think you are missuing the API they'll just ban you with no questions asked. I wish you the best of luck though :)

I don't understand, why wouldn't you want to work on the SEO on your site? You just mean writing the articles or link building?
