    Hey guys,

I was wondering for some time now whether i should start new niche sites with a new emd domain or buy a domain with good metrics (at least 10+ da/pa). I never find good Domains which names fit to my niche so emd is much easier, but I'm asking myself if I lose to much ranking power then. Where do you get your domains if you start niche sites (or pbns) with old domains? Any help is appreciated!

Old domain with backlinks all the way. It's stronger and also, the anchors are already diverse, so you will save money on diversity services to dillute the anchor text ratios. And that's based on my experience.

Regarding "the domain name doesn't fit", that's bullcrap. Just repurpose the domain. Make it look like a blog and mention right in the first paragraph something "Yeh, I don't know shit about the Internet and my son/dog/cat helped me to set up this website and he gave me some domain he had alread registered, so thus the name, bla bla" No idea why is everybody so hyped over the domain names. Will you rather pick TF20 DA20 domain with bad name or TF10 DA10 domain with good name? There you go.

EMDs are not as influential as they used to be. That said it depends on how BAD the aged domain's URL is and how great the EMD's keyword that is matched is. Why not do both and just 301 the aged domain to the new EMD?

ThopHayt - This is actually something that I have been working in the past few days, however I am still waiting for the 301 to kick in. It's been 9 days now and nothing has happened yet. We are talking about DA25+ TF10+ domains with over 70 ref domains. Indexed and with relevant content.

I've tried with 4x 301 domains to 4 different money sites, so I hope that at least one will do something. Anyway, don't want to hijack the thread. :)

I do a lot of testing, and last week I noticed a nice jump in one of my sites. It "only" took 5 months to compute chained redirects. Another one, with TF 30, hundreds of RD, top quality one, it's still -heavily- dancing after 6 months. Exact niche, enough content, diversified 301s to different inner/SILO pages. It's not what I'd do if I were in a rush :D

    I prefer degan new domain.
Somehow, this was not at risk at any time google kick, because I know where backlinks in place.

But if you have an old domain with PR 7, it was better for the affiliate, because they have a good ranking for keywords. According to my experience.

    It's up to you
