My mom has stage 4 lung cancer. Avg is 6mo to a year to live.

I've made some money with affiliates, but seems to be a fluke (the site that was doing ok I had sell a while back). I started a new one and I just can't get a sale.

I'm a professional writer (don't judge my writing her please. I'm in a hurry, and not best state of mind....which of cours emeans alcohol) I used to write for a nation TV channel (their blog) and much more recently...but the thing with wriging is it take so much time. Most people don't want to pay my kinda rates!

I am script/content locking/technically challenged. I stay home with very young, hyper, demanding boys. I don't have much time on my hands at the pc. My main client (1k per week) is going down to a max of 1k per month (combine all this with that we just moved into a better trailer with central heat and air, got a new *used* minivan and it all spells trouble)

I need to get to 5k per month if I ever realistically think I can get mom moved down here. We haven't told our 6 yr old bout he yet. The youngest hasn't even met her yet.

So much more to this, but I know you don't wanna read a damn book.

I'll pay you to write a few articles for me, if that's what you are asking.

If you think anyone's going to help you while you're drinking away what you have now
    you're in the wrong place.
I watched my Mum die of cancer and slept under her bed in the hospice.
Stop feeling sorry for yourself and go and give her her best last days.
$5k per month ain't going to save her ( sorry to bring you down to reality).
Yeh! Life sucks but you just got to get on with it.
If you really care you'd give up everything and go and be with her.

Just hope she doesn't suffer like my Mum did.

I really feel for you. Oxonbeef is right though, you should concentrate on spending time with your mum if you can and enjoy time with her as much as you can. God bless you and your mum.

    Hello,
I lost my mother recently and I had many questions I wish that I had asked her about her younger days, get to know your mother all over again and write it all down there may be a bestseller in her.

Thanks everyone. No, I wasn't posting this to try to get someone to hire me (but thanks). And no, I wasn't posting this for someone to try to spoon feed me. I just needed to get it off my chest somewhat. If she lived closer, of course I'd be with her. I'm doing everything I can to get to her or get her here. "get to know your mother all over again" Awesome, that really touched me.

Get together and make a bucket list. Ask her what would she like to do before the cancer gets the best of her.

I think what the OP means, in my humble opinion, is that the bills can't pay themselves and if OP dropped everything to be with his mum he wouldn't be able to feed his young ones.

blueclue, don't you blog or anything, mind I ask?

~monocleman It's good to see someone that understands. I can't simply drop everything and spend our last dime to fly halfway across the country, stopping work, leaving kids, etc... just not that simple.

Yes, I have a blog. It's nothing big though. I have a couple affiliate sites, I just finished writing an ebook for someone, have a couple WSO's in work, waiting on developer for a plugin to get finished, talking to "big boy" marketer next week about software ideas he might invest in, I'm still working with my main client and a couple others... as you can see I'm a little bit everywhere! Oh, I have an Amazon site that should really start helping soon (it's time-sensitive kind of keywords, so it fluctuates. Actually bought this recently and it ranks in top 5 and top 10 for some buyer keywords that get xxk exact searches) Will be interesting to see if it performs well when the time is right ;)

Adversity affects different people different...I wish you the best...

I dont have a financial answer to help you because you making 1k a week from a client just writing. I don't know who would pay you that online unless you was a copywriter. Best advice learn how to post enticing freelance post on elance, odesk, and, the like. Also, you could cold call big companies and try to get them to let you work on contract. Lock the contract to post blog content and syndicate articles.

    good luck

This is what we call life. You need to accept what's going on and the Life Moves on.

Just try to keep your Mom happy and spend more time with her (instead of BHW)

Just going to give some indirect advice/my opinion here. I hope no one replies to it directly as I don't intend on having any debates or further discussion (that is for you to do independently if you are interested).

Firstly, take a look at energeticforum.com A lot of open-minded people there, and you'll find a sub-forum where people discuss things like cancer and some alternative treatments. I am not implying anything here. I am just saying, if you are INTERESTED, then go there and take a look. If not, no problems - this is only taking me a minute or two to write out.

Like I said, you'll find some interesting things on that forum...

One of which, is a product called "ASEA". It's pretty technical.. I'll admit, I don't understand the whole working of it. But on that forum there, you'll find some good, useful information. I have just ordered some and I have it sitting beside me (I had to order it from the USA -> AUS) and I am going to give it to either my mum or my dad to try out for a month (I ordered a month supply). Needless to say, I have read some VERY interesting user-testimonials of this product - and if it is anything like they say it is, this could be very good for you & your mother.... just saying. Don't assume I am saying or implying anything with that statement. Take it as you will. If you're keen, you'll do the research.

Secondly, search up all the 'cancer' threads here because there was a thread that popped up recently showing some Chinese doctors curing cancer through some alternative means (related to frequency, I believe).

Thirdly, hit up YouTube. A lot of BS on there, but I guarantee, if you sit long enough you might find something useful. Information is out there. Just not clear.

Anyway, take of this post what you will. I hope your mother survives, but you're going to have to try. No, it won't cost you as much as what your doctors now would want to charge you (read: Western medicine for the most part is designed to take your money) so you'd be surprised at what you might find and affordability.

    Good luck.
