Today morning, I got an email from stablehost, that my account has suspended after receiving a DDOS attack for one of my sites.

    And they mentioned,
"Unfortunately we cannot host accounts that have been the target of a DDoS attack"

How on earth am I to stop DDOS attacks on my sites, if they cannot do it?

They are talking like, Im responsible for the DDOS. Like i hired a guy to attack my own sites.

I had already paid for a full year, and 10 months left of that.

DO NOT EVER CHOOSE STABLEHOST. Bcuz They are UnStable.

Did you chose the $2 a month package or the $3.50 a month one?

You get what you pay for kid, I would look at another provider.

OVH do great VPS servers for £15 a month.

If your websites are getting DDoS attack, then it's not the company's fault, and they are not responsible for stopping your DDoS attacks for free. DDoS mitigation requires a large amount of investment (software, devices and multiple bandwidth pipes), and if you are using shared hosting, then you cannot expect the company to protect you from DDoS and take up the bandwidth bills on their shoulders.

Getting a VPS + DDoS protection is your better option.

If your site is the target of DDos and still happen when you move to host with another shared hosting, I doubt they will keep your site. Ddos mitigation or Ddos protection host is not cheap. You get what you pay for. If it's real that the DDos is happen on your site, it's not fault.

Nobody can point fingers, what's the reason behind ddos? Are you promoting explicit content or profiting too much?

    I never use them.

    You have too much traffic.

I suggest you use arminds or digital ocean
