If you got problem in getting some working and fast proxies online to be able to post in craigslist and backpage, you can make use of the SSH access of your webhosting providers

**NOTE** in order to do this, you need to request for an ssh access to your webhosting providers. usually they don't give ssh access unless requested.
...or sometimes you get ssh access when you hacked some accounts lol

    1.) Go download the "putty"

    Code:
    http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

NOTE: no need to install this shit. its a total executable file. and here's how it looks like
    [IMG]

2.) now input your host name, see image below

3.)now go to SSH, then select "tunnels", then tick the "dynamic" radio button,..input any source port number on the box and click add , see image below for reference

4.)Now click "Session" and click the "save" button.. see image below

5.) Now fire up your firefox and go click the following or just follow it
    NOTE** latest firefox ok!

tools --> options --> advance --> network --> settings "button"

    see image below for reference

now set this up.. follow what you see in the image below.. the port number is the same as what you added in the putty awhile ago..i think its "1111" or any number you place in putty

NOTE** Make sure that you are logged in SSH before you do that in firefox ok..

    Final step is go to

    http://www.showmyip.com
    http://www.whatismyip.com
    http://www.ipchicken.com

and presto you got a damn different IP, fast and effective..

Using Socks this info may be important depending what bh methods you are using
    Source http://whatismyipaddress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=10005

When you use free public proxy servers, you need to keep in mind that you never know who the server owner/administrator is or why they are running a free proxy server. Not all are safe to use.

My organization provides proxy servers because we own our dedicated servers. This site and all the rest, cannot detect the use of our servers as proxies because of the security protocols we have in place. Our servers do not reveal anything about the users connected to them and do not reveal real ip addresses even when Java is used in the browser. Our servers are specially coded using the highest encryption available to man.

As to the level of anonymity on those free servers, they vary greatly. You want to look for level 1 proxy servers which are highly anonymous. Another way that websites know you are using a proxy is through the use of Java. If your browser uses Java, as there are very many known vulnerabilities with Java, it can be exploited and reveal the proxy you are using. Your best bet is to look for Level 1 Highly Anonymous proxies and disable Java in your browser. Internet Explorer by Microsoft is the worst browser to use. Every browser exploit known to man has been run on Internet Explorer. I recommend getting Fire Fox.

if you have a webhost account, contact your webhosting provider to give you an ssh access, if then they replied to your request, it most probably the same as your cpanel or ftp username and password..just use the putty when loggin in your ssh

yeah..im using ssh tunneling when posting in craigslist lol

ok i have this setup and it works. my problem is that i'm going thru my dedicated server. obviously the ip is that of my server. i don't think this is going to be an advantage for me because it's one ip. is this supposed to work better with another type of host? does the ip constantly rotate if you have a shared plan for instance?

as far as i know, the ip of a certain account doesn't change.. the only advantage of this method is if you hold a number of different accounts from different hosting providers. or if you can XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

your just creating a tunnel on your machine through putty.

Been doing this for ages and for a while I offered this service to others (now closed :)) and it worked flawlessly.

If anyone is having problems setting up I can give you a hand if you catch me on MSN (its in my profile)

Its a 5 minute job but will save you a lot of hassles - I bought 5 or 6 small VPS servers around the world and randomly went through each of them.

Cost a few quid but the money coming in was a lot more than was going out ;)

just beware what ever you do u can lost ur account also because of this because all logs remain in there server i m my self a system admin that's why i know this from very long and best software is Tunnelier for doing this but once again never do with you any web hosting account if u caught u lost ur account in seconds and also u can go to jail because this is very risky as per as the TOS of any web hosting provider !!

instead of this just search google for free shell accounts or free cpanel hosting account and one more thing shel account isnot required to be enable use Tunnelier just give ur id pass of cpanel and it open a SOCK for you at 127.0.0.1:9999 enjoy !!

Buy a cheap VPS - I bought my UK tunnel VPS for just over 5 quid and a US one for about $8 a month.

You won't get SSH access on free hosts and I doubt any shared host will give you full SSH access either.

Put out a bit of cash and you are laughing.
