I going to write an article using high paid targeted keywords. If I use squidoo maybe i can get ranked high quite easlily, but the adsense ads wont be mine, however with wordpress or using a webpage I can put my own ads up, although i do want to get highly ranked quite quickly

This looks like a perfect opp for Google alert. If you go over there you can find some backlinks for your wordpress blog pretty quickly by receiving notifications of other blog that pertain to your niche.
Sometimes I even go to Yahoo answers depending on the niche and search for people who are asking questions about my topic just for the backlink...anyway I hope that helps.

Not really - it takes about 20 minutes to knock out a new product once you have MU set up. It's also a great way to test markets and find out where you REALLY want to put effort into.
5 minutes for the lens, 5 minutes to bookmark, 5 minutes for the mu page, 5 minutes for the blogger blog if you do it, etc... won't kill ya and you'll probably end up on the first page of google in a few days .

Put a potion of the Article on Squidoo and have a link to the rest of the article onyour blog. Make sure you create a new lense and call it squidoo.com/keywords-that-you-want-to-rank.
Your lens will rank pretty quick and will help your blog rank
Oh ya. make sure that you use at least 4 modules in your lens or it won't even be published
