Squidoo Lens Is Not Index In Yahoo Yet

My lens is about 10 days old and have not indexed in Yahoo yet...

How long does it take to get index in Yahoo for a lens?

Also, I am trying to get on the first page with a long tail, in google. At the first page, the number one rank site is a wikihow and only has about 32 backlinks from about 17 plus urls...

If I beat that, will that make my lens on first page? Currently only have 17 links from 7 urls and now are now ranked 300 for the keyword I'm targeting in Google. Have noticed it slipped from 290...

Will building backlinks to my lens help in serps?

Sorry for a very newbish questions... Would just like to make sure I'm doing this right...
