Squidoo Backlinks?

Does a link from squidoo count as a backlink?

Are all links from squidoo a no follow?

I've checked a squidoo lens that was interlink with other lenses, but when I check the backlink for this particular squidoo lens it has no backlinks from squidoo lenses... And this lens have been indexed fro quite a while now and still no backlinks from other squidoo lenses...

Any one care to explain?

Hmmm... on the squidoo lenses that I just looked at, website links on a lens are ******** but links to recommended books to ama zon are nofollow.

That kind of suggests that the website links should count, I would think?

How did you check for backlinks? with google or yahoo? Or some other site or tool

I don't really understand it. I have got a few squidoo that interlinks and yet did not show up as backlinks... bummer...

Yes links from Squidoo count as backlinks, as long as your lens is not considered "work-in-progress".

You need to make sure the lens has 3 modules. If it doesn't it will not come out of Work in Progress (WIP) status. You can still view it but Squidoo have all the links set up as no-follow regardless of how they are coded.

All my squidoo is a featured lens...

All have more than 3 modules...
