Squeeze page or sale page?

Hello,
Im kinda new here and I want to put a link on my blog for an affiliate CB hop link...However, i heard alot about squeeze pages but my question is where to put it...
Should i put the blog post and a link the the squeeze page where they enter name and mail adress and then from the squeeze page put a link like SUBMIT*which takes them to the Hop link*

Create a sqeeze page and then put the email form in your speeze page and after they enter their email, send them to hop link
