So i'm not too sure if you guys have heard of me, but i'm pretty active around the BHW community (sometimes useful, sometimes not). I have had one failed Journey before and let me tell you what i'm currently doing on that site... i'm doing a churn and burn because it was my first site and to be honest... if I can make a couple hundred off that site before it burns off then i'm fine with that.

    About my Journey:
So i'm heading into a bigger niche this time with around 30k Global searches for my main keyword, but depending on the results and whatever happens afterwards, I believe I can then scale it up to an even bigger keyword with around 300k MS (Globally). It is pretty much a product review/news website so I will be interlinking pages through Anchor text.

As my site is still young I plan on just creating content to begin with, once it's a little bit older with more sufficient content I will start building some web 2.0's and high PR blog posts. I'm going for a safer route with this one.

I'm trying to get a steady income as soon, I plan to attend College where I can hopefully fund myself, i'd really like that as it would take a lot of financial burden off my parents and who knows, maybe once i'm out of College I can put down a deposit for a house!

    Monetization:
I will be monetizing this site through Adsense as it isn't a bad place to start as my REAL first Journey.

    Here's to a great start!
    Current state of site:
    - Website is under a month old
    - 1, 1000 word Article
    - 5, 500 word Articles
    - 2 Ads in my widgets bar
    - Facebook page with 1800-2000 likes (bought)
    - Twitter with 0 followers
    - 3 Video articles

    Programs I have:
    - Scrapebox
    - GSA SER
    - Captcha Breaker
    - Death by Captcha
    - Long Tail Pro
    - Ezee Rank Keyword Tracker
    - GSA Indexer
    - Wicked Article Creator

Expenses (will be updated throughout Journey):
$110 on Bluehost hosting (including Domain)
    $35 on articles
    $5 logo
    $3 Facebook likes
    $10 Social signals
    ----------------------
    $163

Income (will be updated throughout Journey):
    .20c - Adsense
    ----------------------
    .20c
I haven't built a single link to my homepage or articles/content and I am getting organic traffic through Content.

    To do list 27/10/2014:
    - Order 2 more articles
    - Find a YouTube video to post on my Website (related to Niche) and write my own small article on it
    - Purchase a few more social signals

    What I'm not sure about:
    - How I create my on-page SEO for my main keyword on homepage if my site just consists of product review articles?
    - How to put ads in my articles/product reviews

I hope you all follow my Journey! Sure it could be some time away but hey! I'm trying to be in here for the long run... not just $5 a day!

Any help would be much appreciated :) Thank you BHW!

Wow, this is a fantastic start! I can tell by your post that you have the potential to be a great writer. I know that purchasing content is easy, but to write a good 500 word article it just takes 10 minutes. All you need is a decent Pandora station and you'll zone out. In an hour you'll have 3000 words of authority content (that's right! no foreign writers), you'll have saved $30 and that you can invest in even more stuff.

That is just a suggestion of course. Do you care to share where you go your social signals from? I am currently hunting far and wide for them.

You should try to achieve a position on top 10 before placing ad on your site. BTW, Good Luck!

I recommend this as well. Maybe not the top 10, but let Google index you and start to rank you before you load your site with ads.

You've actually inspired me to even attempt an article myself! I might get onto that soon, it just get's so tedious and I tend to zone out. I wish I had that discipline where I can sit down for an hour writing an article, but I will seriously try a 500 article myself and see how I go and how long I can finish it in.

The Articles i'm getting are actually of higher quality considering they're from Fiverr!

For the Social Signals (I had to go back into email and fish through them to find the site), I use http://www.redsocial.net/buy-social-signals/ they also drip feed, which makes it look more natural.
Yes! Thank you Roy! I'll be sure to ask you some more soon ;)
Thank you, I hope you can learn a thing or two on this journey like me.
Hmm! I think it may be too late haha, one thing though... I have no clue how to rank my MAIN keyword as it's a product review site?
All my pages are indexed into Google? But the problem (as stated above) is that I don't know how to rank my main keyword as i'm constantly doing product reviews/news on different products, eg. Sony Bravia TV, so how would I rank my main keyword of just say "high definition TV".
    Thank you :)
Thank you very much! I hope so too :D

Good luck with journey mate! And it is definitely worth writing your own content. Doesn't have to be an hour in a row, you can write one article here one article there, and when it starts flowing it'll be easy.

I might sit down in a couple of days and seriously give that a shot! It's just hard working up to it, but i'll see if what I produce can compare to those that i'm outsourcing to.
    Thank you :)

Nick Flame's has a detailed post explaining how to setup review sites. I've linked to it for you. Good luck on your journey.

This doesn't quite help me as it's not an Amazon review site. Mines more of a cnet.com where they sometimes review products.

I have haha, i've read through it twice. Maybe I didn't explain well enough.

So basically let's just say my main keyword for my site "high definition TV" and i'm writing articles ABOUT HD TV's, so i'll create an article about "Sony Bravia 50" HD TV" which is SEO-optimised for said keyword, but i'm more confused about how to do on-site SEO for my main keyword "high definition TV".

    Does that make sense?

Just a suggestion and please dont take my word for it, but could you not have a really long good quality article 2000+ about High Definition TV (so a generic article about why Mhz are important in High Def Tvs, the different types, smart tvs, 3d tvs, etc) and keep linking internally back to that main article with the desired anchor of High Def Tvs?

    Cheers

That doesn't sound too bad actually, can anyone verify?
