There are hundreds of channels on Youtube uploading soccer highlights and clips and getting hundreds of millions of views. A lot of them are even verified by Youtube, even although 100% of their content is copyrighted.

Any idea of how they are making money? I mean, they must be making money otherwise they wouldn't put so much work into it.

I've tried ripping and reuploading their videos to see what happens in regards to copyright, and most of them have copyright claims but they don't get blocked - the ad revenue goes to the original owner instead, which means you can't use adsense.

Any ideas? And how the hell are some of them getting verified by YT?

Here are some examples of channels, I wont post links as I'm not sure if I'm allowed to on this forum or not. Just search these names in Youtube instead:

    footoZ
    Madristatv
    MATCH DAY SHOW

    Hello,

Here are some nice answers: https://www.quora.com/How-do-some-YouTubers-keep-uploading-football-and-sports-clips-without-copyrights-infringement-issues

    Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for that, but I actually just read that earlier today when I searched google and all of the answers are false. If you look at the channels I mentioned as an example, you will see that those answers do not make sense. Thanks for your help though :)

Dont use videos from big companies like sky or bt. Try to look for small companies that make these videos (some may not be english).

Yeah, but what I'm saying is, every video I have re-uploaded from one of those channels have copyright claims on them from La Liga, premier League, UEFA etc. The content owners let you keep the video up, but they get the ad revenue and you can't use your adsense on them.

So it is the same situation for those big channels uploading those videos. Surely they're not just doing it as a hobby or something. It takes so much time and effort. But they can't use adsense, and they are not monetizing in any other way as far as I can tell. It's a strange one. What's even stranger is that some of them are verified by Youtube. I don't get it.

Aren't they normally not promoting any link or affiliate link and make some dough off that?

There's no sign of any affiliate links, CPA offers, links to website etc... Nothing.

Asked arround for you, heard of some guy that they are using vids from sportek and stuff, live streams, those big stream sites like Sportek have no copyright, at least. that's what he told me.
    I don't know if it's true.

Thanks for that Bruna, that's interesting and I will look into it.

However, it still doesn't explain the channels I am talking about. The channels I am referring to just upload the highlights of the football matches from broadcasts like Sky Sports. They are 100% copyrighted because I have re-uploaded their videos and each one has a copyright claim, which means they also see the same copyright claim on their uploads.
