I have had moderate success with splogging to public blogs using a farmer and poster. The problem is the blogs get deleted as fast as you can make them.

So I created a farm of my own blogs, and started the same process. Posting and pinging. And at first, it seemed to work and I got indexed in Google and Yahoo for alot of pages across the farm. And then BAM - De-indexed. Actually a few of them are still indexed with Yahoo and MSN. But I've been google slapped on 100 domains.

Its safe to say I was posting and pinging way too much. I treated it like the public blogs, like an idiot, and tried to post and ping as fast as possible. Posting too often evidently throws you right into the fire. I'm sure pinging too much doesn't help either. My articles are 100% unique, so that helps a bit.

My topic/questions are two fold.

Is there any way to unscrew myself on the Google Index? What can I try? These are WordPress blogs, should I try an SEO plug-in to help out?

What is a safe amount of posting and pinging?

Any other suggestions or flames are welcome. I'm a stupid noobie and I know it, lol.

I leave out all beside pingomatic if I am going to update the blog often.

With only pingomatic I have some blogs that I update 6 times / hour.

They get indexed and not slapped.

If I put googles pings in the game, then the blogs are gone from googles index in couple of hours.

But I start with 6 times / hour and then go down to maximum 1 post / hour after about 6 first hours.

Hope it helps.

But if the blogs had unique content, expect them to come back in while.

But don't overdo the pinging and specially to services like google, yahoo

Kandor.

Thanks for the tips. What about templates? Or SEO plugins for your main wordpress sites? I just read somewhere that the default template is a no-no, and that's what I'm rocking. :(

Actually the default template should be good as there millions of sites running it so you would not standout.

But I am not sure, I usually use the default template and I have not had any issues.

Plugins, I use pretty much just statpress to be able to see stats of the pages.

To be indexed well, you want to be sure that your templates contain the usual tags (h1, h2, etc) and if at all possible you want your content to display BEFORE your sidebar in the page source. I've had pretty good luck with themes from
Code:

and
Code:

For plugins, the all-in-one seo pack is a must. It will allow you to set titles, descriptions, and other meta tags on a per post basis.

It is possile to get out of the sandbox, but it takes time. Back off on the pinging/posting for a while (maybe down to once a day or every other day) and that may help. Be sure that you are posting unique content, and as the spiders show up it should help you get out faster.

Do you have all your Blogs on 1 Server? So, 1 IP?

Thanks again.

All of my sites are WPMU. Is it possible to use a random template for each user or for each post?

And for the SEO pack, how much of that stuff is automatically set? I am talking about a crap-ton of individual blogs, and it would be impossible to manage individually.

I'm ok with it taking time. I am more worried that I needed to scrap everything, including my server, ips and all my domains. If I can recover, I can live with that.

Yes 1 server, but multiple IPs.

There is actually another SEO plugin (platinum SEO I think) that is supposed to populate the tags automatically based on the content of your post. I haven't personally tried it, but have seen other members posts that like it.

You can ALWAYS recover, you just have to be patient.

Well I don't personally use any seo plugin as I am not interested to rank this blogs.
I just want the indexed so that the links I put on them counts for my other sites.

But if you want traffic to this sites then I guess SEO plugins are very useful
