Hi folks, had a bit of a thought... with a vBulletin forum, are you able to use a spinner to double/triple/etc your posts (especially if you're paying postloop or similar to create content)?

I've been reading about spinners on this forum for the last week and am still undecided if they get away with Google... any thoughts/suggestions?

    thanks in advance!

Through this method you can just spam the forums....

you can do the spinning but it will be crappy forum ofcause genuine users will not return instead of it make some genuine case studies if you it's IM or SEO forum or any other niche make some genuine content which makes the user to come back.

basically forum will not need to be spammy with post just make some genuine it will make your users to comment or to post new threads which help your forum my advice thanks! :)

Yes, and it would probably depend on the quality of your posts.

At that point I would just recommend scraping and spinning threads from other forums so that you can control the 'flow' of conversation to make sure that posts make sense in sequence (while just having a bunch of threads/posts in a row with spun variants of each other will almost certainly get red flagged instantly).

I guess it will go through the automatic checks of google bot, but in case of manual review you're f**ked.
And as people above mentioned - do not expect real users there!

Thanks for the replies :) I should have been more specific... I was thinking of spinning older threads to "beef up" history of the forum ... say I have 1 million posts in 100k threads from 2008 to 2011 ... if I spun 2008/09/10 threads (even just once) I'd have an extra almost 1 million posts - but it's all in the past not current... do you think that would turn users away still?

I have 100-200 content developers working on current content daily as well... creating unique and relevant posts/threads etc. the spinning idea is to make the forum look bigger (and hence may be more appealing?)

    Cheers
