Beautiful. I'm an East Coaster, and am used to mountains and waterfalls. But nothing of this magnitude!

    Bridalveil Falls

    Over 600ft (almost 190m) high.

    Lower Yosemite Falls

The Upper (below) and Lower falls together make up the largest waterfall in North America, at almost a 2,500ft drop (close to 750m). This was taken at the end of a short hike.

    Upper Yosemite Falls

Falls so far that by the end of the upper section it's just a mist that settles into some cascades and then turns into the lower section seen above.

    Ribbon Fall

The longest single-drop waterfall in North America. Over 1,600ft high (almost 500m).

The Upper 25% of El Capitan

Note the red circle. That's a person climbing the face of the rock.

    The Money Shot

El Capitan on the left, Bridalveil Falls on the right, Half Dome in the center background. Looks kinda like a default Macbook wallpaper!

    That's beautiful.

I love waterfalls. There's something so entrancing about them. I've only ever seen one natural one up close in my lifetime.

I'll never forget it. It was inside a cave we were taking a tour through. It smelled amazing. The air was so crisp and misty. The sound was soothing. I could have sat there and just listened to it for hours. I could have fallen asleep if I sat there long enough.

I've actually never even been to Yosemite or any other national park. I think there's one not far from me. I'm going to have to check that out.

From your unfortunate cinnamon roll thread I assume you're close to St. Louis. If I'm close, the Smokies is a good eight-ish hour drive from you. All sorts of waterfalls up there. That's my country.

Make it a long weekend. It's beautiful up here. The air is so clean and fresh. And an extra bonus is that a lot of them are zero crowds, so you have the entire falls all to yourself.

Nailed it! I'm about 10 minutes from STL.

That sounds fabulous. I'll make it a priority to get up there. I need a peaceful weekend.

    Thanks hon <3
