I've been keeping an eye on this token for a few days now. I had assumed it to be another shitcoin but now it seems like a legitimate project to me. It's a carbon sequestration project and Elon's recent tweets make it even more relevant.

A list of things this project has done or plan on doing:

Finalized a deal with the Maldives government for the plantation of 1 Million trees.
Qualified team of PHDs & MBAs. The team's face along with their bio is on the website.
Have been listed on a few small-time exchanges (whiteBit and cointiger).
Android and IOS apps are in testing and should be released soon.
CoinTeleGraph has scheduled a video interview with the founder that will be aired in China.

How exactly will this token be tied in with their projects and green efforts is still not very clear (at least to me) but the admins say that they are working on a new version of their whitepaper that will make these things clear.

This isn't a shill or recommendation for this token. I have invested some money in it though and was wondering what the BHW community thinks of it.

I don't know but you get removed, you can try yourself. I tried with 3 accounts and everytime I was removed.

They pumped like crazy when he tweeted about Unicef Maldives partnership. Then it never got confirmed by Unicef and he deleted the tweet.. Not sure if it ever got confirmed after.

Been in the group for around a week now. Did not happen with me. They don't even ban people for talking about other coins from what I've seen. They do auto ban people who have certain words in their username though.

It has a 72% correction from that pump which is normal with shitcoins I guess. I'm not following them that much but never getting partnership confirmed by Unicef seems shady. That being said wish I bought before the first pump. Now it seems to rely on big news or it bleeds out.

Didn't know that they mentioned UNICEF and this happened. Thanks for the info! In the telegram group they've always said that the agreement is between SPE, the Maldives government, and some NGOs.

Partnering with the government in itself is quite big news in my opinion. But yes, because of the low market cap and a relatively small community, this token will need another big announcement to draw in more investors.

Getting rich while doing something good for the world, that's the point of this token, no? The whole token thing is the incentive for people to join the cause. People buy in to make money and the founders use the money they get from the token to fund their green initiatives. As for the case of the dev team misusing the funds, this is what is mentioned on their website.

Ofcourse, without any proof to back the above statement up, this is just some text on a website and your skeptism is justified.

I have been or at least trying to, state the facts. But yes, looking at my previous posts, I do agree that they seem a little defensive. I guess you can't be completely impartial when you have money, no matter how small an amount, invested in something

. But criticism is the main reason for this thread as I've only 'invested' a small amount into this and was considering putting in a lot more.

Admittedly, I'm in this for the money. The statement 'Getting rich while doing something good for the world ' was more of a justification for the token's existence.

I appreciate your opinion though, it gives me something to think about.

I'm in a charity coin called $FEED and not $SPE but the entire 3% to holders, 2% to liquidity pool for every buy and sell does constantly give a budget for charity. It's just not that big if the coin doesn't pop off.
Tons of people are taking advantage of it though. There was a coin called forrestry exactly like SPE and they rugged a few million.
