I'm quite happy with my journey with Amazong as an affiliate - I'm on about $200 a month for commissions - things are all squeaky clean and life is good. But, I have a question - what happens if I use my Amazon Affiliate Codes for a different site and spam the shit out of it? Say I arrange for a spike of random traffic to hit a throw-away domain and if that results in sales (to Amazon) and I get the credit, will Amazon hate on me spamming my domain and sending traffic to them?

Can't see why not....just wanted to ask to see if anyone has any thoughts or advice to share....

    Thanks!

Or said another way - why would Amazon close an account?

I don't think amazon will mind if you spam the hell out of your throwaway site as long as it's good quality. They won't check your site for the shitty backlinks that it will be getting thrown at it. In my opinion, all they care about is the content on that domain and the converting traffic you send them.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well.....

As long as they get their sales then why should they care where that sale came from......

My plan is a numbers game - i.e. if it costs $200 to throw a ton of traffic at a site and that then in turn generates Amazon sales that is greater than $200 then it is a (very basic) money making idea......

I still feel that I might be missing a trick here - I need to refine this idea...
