Hey, someone on skype told me that Spain was rioting, but I took a look and could not find anything in the news about it.

Can anyone in Spain confirm ?

Only footage I found was this:

There was riots in Spain a few years back, but i can't find any news on any recent uprisings.

Maybe you are either being bullshitted to or you have stumbled upon a get your news in first kind of opportunity.

Funny mate. Why do they? because of economy? never. It will get better in 5-10 years (at least more stable). Greeks should have done that IMHO.

Not to mention the US, which is the worst of them all.

This can never be fixed anymore, it's waiting for the big boom, soon.

I'm from Spain, It's trua that we have some movementa and few weeks ago all the attention here are watchings this movements, the movement is going on yet, but it's not a really "riot",It's more the beguinin of a new movement for change: a "silent" revolution.
Stay tuned, I think in few month this movement will expand by other countries of the world, but for now, here on Spain thinks aren't so bad as this post says, things are calm right now

    Thanks for the upload.

Seriously there has been nothing in the UK press/news papers about Spain !!!!

I saw those videos what I dont get is, why the cops are beating on people for being in a public place and protesting ? Is it illegal or something?

Its a dodgy ass system all over!

There have been riots in many EU countries for the last few weeks, social unrest is increasing bigtime, you will indeed find nothing in the news about that (duh).

Yet when there is a riot on the other side of the world, it's all over the news.

It's time to break this horrible creature that's called the EU down, it failed, and it will never work.

    You are welcome mate!

Just wanted to share whith everyone what really happened

No, is not illegal, well it was half legal, because they made a camp during days on a public place

Here in Spain there are 5.000.0000 of unemployed people, we are really fed up of this situation.

People started to meet up in public places camping and staying there for days looking for a solution in lots of Spanish cities, there were familes old people and all kind of different persons.

Police said they had to move from the zone because they needed to clean the street (in Barcelona, the cops vids are from Barcelona), the fact is people didn´t want to move and they started beating people until the zone was clean.

They caught all personal things of the people with them, computers, clothes, documentation about the movement, ALL.

People is VERY OUTRAGED, with governmet and police.

I agree, it's not just a waste but an actual loss of resources. No member country gets richer, most get poorer.

It won't die soon though since there are already entrenched departments. Those with high eurocratic positions won't give them up easily and don't seem to mind that protesters get beaten in the name of the status quo.

    Are you even serious mate?!

1 out of 4 unemployed in Spain?

I haven't read any such news in newspapers. All they say is economy is bad in US and 9% unemployment(unofficially higher ofcourse)

and 40% budget cut in UK NHS scheme and so on.Oh yeah read that Greek and Italy are in some trouble as well.

Didn't know Spain is in such worse condition.
